The first few days have been bizarre. The better teams have draws and losses. And mediocre teams have lopsided wins.

Russia made a deal with Saudis so if they will lose Russia will side with them on Oil issues.

Well, the big teams plan their physical preparations to peak during the playoff part of the tournament whereas the smaller teams try and be ready from the word go, so that tends to subdue the differences. It's not a surprise that the only good game so far has been between two teams perceived as possible contenders, Portugal and Spain.
