If Doncic can be had in a trade with the Grizzlies we should jump at it. We're looking at an all time great generational talent here.
I would trade our #9, next year's first, THJr or Lee plus take Chandler Parsons off of their hands for Doncic. No one will beat that trade offer and Doncic's worth it.
EwingsGlass@ 6/19/2018 7:25 PM
If they took THJ, I’d do that. Hard to give up next year’s pick. But for Doncic, I’d likely do that. I’d also like sign hezonja. I think they would pair well together in NY.
Vmart@ 6/19/2018 7:39 PM
I would do the 9th, 36th and THJ for Doncic and Parsons.
Jmpasq@ 6/19/2018 9:13 PM
Why I would do the 9th, 36th and THJ for Doncic and Parsons "Memphis never would" I don't think Donic is anywhere near a generational talent. He just doesn't come close to matching up with true franchise altering wings like Lebron, Durant, Giannis.

Swap Noah for THJ, and Id do it. Only because of Parson's contract. I would swap the 9 pick, and next year's first rounder though. Nothing is guaranteed, but Doncic would make KP's job a whole lot easier. Probably without a long development process.
Elite players out there who arent one of the top 3 players in the league, who have a major impact on their franchise.
Doesnt have to be LeBron-like to justify paying a premium. That is if mgmt believes a player is the real deal. A game changer. Doncic might be it.
arkrud@ 6/19/2018 10:36 PM
Why they would do it? Who needs our junk and next year unknown for sure thing?
KnixinSix@ 6/19/2018 10:58 PM
This guy has an idea for the trade . I would be amazed if we could pull that type of deal off though.
He's got five trade proposals, all with us giving up our 2nd round draft pick plus Courtney Lee. I don't think that gets you Doncic, even with taking on Parson's contract.
TLover@ 6/20/2018 1:00 AM
Hardaway Jr & Lee for Parsens, McClamore, & #4 would be great for the Knicks. Besides the draft pick and giving more time to a guy like Dotson; we’d find a use for the 2 other players we’d get (that Fiz already knows)
Juliano@ 6/20/2018 5:02 AM
The only way it may happen is if Doncic's stock falls down because he didn't work out with teams and they question how his game will translate into the NBA. The boy has been playing pro ball for 3 years at the top european level, winning the biggest prizes for both club and country, if he falls into the Knicks' range it's a no brainer.
Paris907@ 6/20/2018 5:58 AM
Sure I’d prefer Doncic but the other 4 picks are super this year. THJr KOQ? 36 = Parsons and # 4. Count me in. Bamba and Knox w Frank and KP

Im pretty sure any possible trade for #4 would also include Knicks giving up #9.

This is why I’m a proponent of tanking. The Knicks could have sucked enough to g t the pick they really want. Now we are trying to figure out ways to add an impact player by giving up assets. Then people wonder why I’m so down in the Knicks.
SupremeCommander@ 6/20/2018 10:50 AM
I am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay against trading future firsts. That said, if we can get our hands on another pick somehow, I'd still trade two picks for doncic

Old boring story line.
Knicks shoulda maybe sat KP when he was on his 40ppg streak early in the year?

any good management would have had the foresight to stop those young players from doing so well.

This. The Knicks had 25 games left on their schedule when KP went down. They went 6-19 to finish the year. They won only 24% of their games. That was worse then the percentage the Suns finished the year at.

I don't get this logic at all. It sounds appealing but go and look at like the last 10 or 20 years of drafts. Absent Tim (recall Boston tanked hard that year and had two lottery selections first and third and lost out), Shaq and Lebron even having the number 1 pick is far from a guarantee of success let alone greatness -- e.g., Anthony Davis phenomenal player and team has been blah to mediocre; Minny has Wiggins and KAT and countless lottery picks and they were blah to putrid until recently
The organization needs a culture and identity that involves team building, player development, an identity that can succeed (whether that's GSW or Houston who knows but something better than schizophrenia). Silver bullet quick fixes are super rare

some think I don't believe in the draft, but it's more like I don't believe in relying on the draft.
If there is an opportunity to use my pick on an establish young play on the rise, why would I go with a potential bust. Not only would i have wasted a season tanking, you also contributed to a losing environment.

funny you never mentioned that until the losses started. Not a peep when the Knicks were +500 and KP was en route to an all star season. Funny as in "haha" funny.
