Knicks · Trade Idea - Hardaway to 76ers (page 2)

GustavBahler @ 10/18/2018 11:16 AM
One of the best all.around games for THJ as a Knick. Hardaway can go hot and cold. He's also doing things on both ends of the court when his shot isnt falling. His first time in NY, he barely took it to the rim, shared the rock, played D. There is more to his game now than just shooting.

Also taking a leadership role. I wouldnt trade Timmy this season if he keeps playing at this level. Not neccesarily 30pt games every night. More about showing a good two way game.

If Hardaway has a very good season, Id only want to see him moved in a deal for a legit star in his prime. Otherwise why mess with success?

I agree great game. Ive always defended Timmy even in his early days when many knick fans wanted him out. However he needs to prove he can be consistent or at least close to it. I do agree that his defense has inporoved and im very proud of timmy for that. Many guys just focus on offense. Hopefully Timmy does become more consistent under fizdale

Yeah it's one good, possibly great game against a bleh opponent, but Philly's draft picks and flotsam players are not going to fill the 7'3" hole we're going to be staring at this season. Not saying THJr is going to either, but he's what we got as opposed to injecting newbies into our shiny new culture with our shiny new coach.

Let him play out this season. Would be nice to have another player actually earn the money he's getting paid.

I always hated Riles more than I hated any player on the Heat. Especially after watching Ewing pee on his little bro Zo's head almost every season...

out of all the players in the league making roughly the same amount as THJ, other than Draymond, all of these guys are grossly over paid

425 Tim Hardaway NYK $17,325,000

426 Draymond Green GSW $17,469,565

427 Tristan ThompsonCLE $17,469,565

428 Evan Turner POR $17,868,852

429 Kent Bazemore ATL $18,089,887

430 Goran Dragic MIA $18,109,175

431 Allen Crabbe BRK $18,500,000

I'd argue that Dragic isn't overpaid, but that list is sobering.

We need to stop trying to trade Hardaway. He's a good player on a reasonable (not extremely overpaid) contract for his ability. Cap space doesn't solve every issue. As long as we have space for 1 max guy, we are fine. We need to sell a star on the opportunity to play for Fiz and alongside a talented group of Porzingis, Hardaway, Ntilikina, Knox, Trier, and Robinson under the bright lights. It has to be enough.

HE needs to bring it every night..agreed!

How much better are the Knicks if he can and with a healthy KP and emerging Frank and Knox? Add to those a top FA signee and all of a sudden the team is there....but i get ahead of myself after just 1 game but I like the direction.
