Hayward and Kyrie played horrible and the Celtics still looked amazing.

I see Ben Simmons slicing through defenses with his frame, Knox should be able to do that down the road. Has that athleticism, the makings of a handle. The court vision is another thing, would be happy with Kevin being a willing passer.

Fultz had some good moments. Finds a space to shoot almost effortlessly. Once he has the confidence to attack, not settle for just mid range jumpers, look out.

They have the luxury of Simmons as a ball handler, as an option, whenever he's on the court with Fultz. To help take the pressure off.

Irving looked ooooooold. Early, of course.

76ers have to be kicking themselves for that fultz trade. Tatum is the exact third piece they need between Ben and Embiid.

hayward may take a year to get back to form.

the fultz/tatum deal just looks so damn bad right now for philly.

it's interesting - boston passes the ball alot but alot of their possessions end up with a 1 on 1 move and more than two dribbles.

philly should play fultz as simmons backup and nothing more right now. they need to surround simmons + embiid with shooters at all times.

also, i really do think boston has real home court advantage. so many good shooting teams always miss their 3's in boston for some reason. philly missed a host of open shots - covington air balled like 3 of them. doesn't make sense.

what i don't like about philly is that simmons isn't a half court player yet - until he becomes one, they won't be able to break through. and they will miss both bellinelli and ilyasova. i don't think chandler will help them as much as those two did last year.

I would love to see a Frank-Simmons matchup. It will be a true barometer of Frank's defensive prowess.

Why

simmons is almost 6 11" with quite a few triple doubles already and frank is 6 6" not a threat offensively, and not remotely close to simmons impact over all.

Yeah Simmons is a weird pg to me. He's really a SF. The best line up is him Reddick, Covington, and then a PF with Embiid. It makes them trading up for Fultz make even less sense cause Simmons is the PG and has the speed to defend them most times.

Anyone watch any of Houston/NO? Rockets got blown out. Surprised.

Sacramento has the worst collective hair in the league.

On a side note Pho and Ayton look kinda special!

speaking of mental midgets, Shump came off the bench for the Kings last night. Somehow in 19 minutes managed to be -29 in the boxscore in a game where the Kings only lost by 6. How the phuck does that even happen??!?!?

Boston...that's a deep team. New Orleans and Davis look strong. Dunno if Philly can come together but the East should be interesting this year. Likely the NBA Finals will be Lebron-less. Interesting times.

Watching the Lake show!!! LeBron first 2 shots as a Laker...2 tomahawk Dunks!!! Walton got Rondo starting over Ball. Not a move I would have made, but Rondo is one smart dude. With all the mic on the court, I could hear Rondo calling out "Screen-and-Roll!" before Portland even got into the set. Rondo and LeBron's BBIQ is off the charts!
Uptown @ 10/18/2018 11:10 PM
Love how Walton using LeBron as a finisher as opposed to setting the table and finishing himself. This frees LeBron up to run the lanes on the break ala James Worthy. And in the half court set, he is free to offensive rebound, work the baseline, etc...
Uptown @ 10/18/2018 11:55 PM
Rondo turning back the clock! Looks like the Rondo during the Celts championship yrs!!!

Doesn't really have a choice, no one around LBJ can really shoot.

Rondo/Ball give you no floor spacing. Kuzma can hit it from deep but he can't defend the rim which complicates things.

Walton isn't doing anything. I think he's a really good coach in any other situation. LBJ neutralizes his coach. He plays the way he wants, he LeGMs the way he wants. Which is why he's lost so many Finals.
