Pat Riley says that the Miami Heat plan to add two big name free agents during the 2020 offseason.

"We’ve done this four times now, had a good group of players, young players, and then either through free agency or through trade brought the superstar in. In 2020, we’ll have a lot of room. We’ll also have the possibility to have enough room to go after two max contracts. And we’re going to do that. So, we’re planning that 2020 will be the room year," said Riley.

Riley added that he feels the Heat are just a couple players away from being a special team due to their young foundation.

"We’re chasing a playoff spot when we’re young. And then we’re going to be chasing some players that can come in. If we can get one or two players to come in with this group, this young group, then I think the sky’s the limit for this team in the next couple years."

Am I missing something? What top level max players are unrestricted free agents in 2020? AD if he gets traded to boston and hates it (unlikely). He could overpay a declining Draymond Green or Otto Porter. Not sure there's much else

Huge shot at the buzzer by Kawhi.

I’m glad Silver is thinking about scrapping the all star game, I’ve found it so boring for the past decade or two. Only thing I used to follow it for were the trade rumors but since they moved the trade deadline to before it, even that reason has gone.

I think a beginning season “tournament” with some benefit incentives would fun. Logistic nightmare it would be but some early interesting angle.

Suns beat the Lakers.

For all the finger pointing.........Lonzo has not played enough this year and Khama/Ingram just not ready for Lebron type of prime time. The Rondo/Stevenson thing is a good talent misfits that have their moments, but fact is the team chemistry is all wrong. It’s a pressure cooker all incited by Lebron’s intensity.

Blame? This has to fall on Magic Johnson who arrogantly thought his starphuck touch would create “Magic” on the team. Few of us are surprised and it was written the team would struggle to make playoffs as it was constructed. Admittingly its hard to fathom a Lebron run team not making it to that benchmark.

I only watched a little of the fourth quarter but LBJ had a big, careless, unnecessaryturnover, and missed two free throws down the stretch. I think Magic and Rob really messed up. I don't know how a team becomes a team again after everyone knows the best player wants them traded for another trade. Walton is a really good coach and my guess is he is fired after the season. I am really glad the Knicks don't have a former star coaching or running the team for their first experience. It didn't work with Phil in NY and it didn't work with Kidd and the Nets.

Watched that quadruple overtime game Hawks/Bulls. Trae Young looking more like a floor general. Young might not have the same career as Doncic, doesnt mean it still cant be a great one. Same for DSJr.

i didn’t get to see it but the Hawks golden state style backcourt is getting a ton of praise. How did Huerter look?

Not a good look for Lebron.

I was watching some clip somewhere where they highlighted his play, and it is just lackadaisical. He has already mailed it in!

I guess he might be tired from memorizing his lines to Space Jam 2!

Lakers missing the playoffs would be a blessing in disguise for them LeBron looks a step slower, like he hasnt fully recovered from that groin injury. Not playing at least one series, having to grind it out in the playoff. Expecting to have to put the team on his back, will save James some wear and tear going into the offseason. More time to recover.

Thats a better calling card for big time FA's than an injured and spent Lebron getting rolled in the playoffs.

The Lebron hate fest is his doing. He ascended to the mountain top as the king and self proclaimed GOAT and the hype machine he created bites him in the arse.

Suns beat Bucks IN milwaukee. Ayton with a big boy game.

Tomorrow nights game against Phoenix is a must watch for all Zion fan boys lol

Dallas has won one game since Feb 11. And only 4 games since feb 1 with Luka in the lineup. Can we say good riddance to bad rubbish.

So far anyone that Perry has traded away has had any impact around the league. Lots of DNPs

Cartman718 @ 3/5/2019 2:19 PM
Hardaway said in Brooklyn that Knicks FO didn’t give him and KP playing together a chance. Um nope. KP and his ass brother told the Knicks they wanted out. You were just collateral damage.

Ainge must be desperate if he's demanding the Suns unprotected first round pick for Rozier.
https://www.theringer.com/nba/2019/3/4/1...
Rozier will also be a restricted free agent, with Phoenix considered by league sources as a team likely to make a strong push for the point guard. The Suns offered a protected first-round pick for Rozier before the season, but Boston demanded an unprotected first, per league sources. Were Irving to leave, Rozier would be his logical replacement in the starting lineup.

If the pick was for this year then it depends on what PHX was thinking about their chances with Reezy and Rozier in the line up. Obviously we are 2/3rds the way thru and know PHX is in tank mostly.
As for Ainge, well, don't hurt to ask!
