Timmy back at small forward when he is having a nice streak at SG? I know Fiz's is position-less basketball, in a way, but I wouldn't mess with Tim right now.

Still has not been practicing. So I'd guess it's at least another week or so.
Burke, Hardaway Jr, Dotson, Vonleh, Kanter is the one I would like to see Fizdale try. Dotson looks like he can handle SF. Vonleh would add some height, rebounding, finishing ability. Mario/Trier/Knox coming off the bench for instant offense, with Frank setting the table.
Frank, thjr, mario, vonleh, kanter

Positionless basketball remember.
Unless Lee gets traded that is.

I just picked this- but doesn't look like you voted above.
The other option with Frank vs. Burke might be one I go with- maybe putting Frank as the starting PG gives him the right kind of pressure to performe.
But still, kid is just 20 years old.

Voted. Agree Frank is young. Believe that Frank should take the starting PG job from Burke, hasnt done yet.
As long as Frank doesnt yet do some of the things expected of a starting PG, like dribble penetration, finishing at the rim, getting to the line, putting defenders in foul trouble, Frank should be working on these things from the bench IMO.
I hear posters bringing up Frank's age and calls for patience while insisting that he should start. You seem on the fence yourself.
Patience to me is not giving Frank the starting PG job until he looks like he will keep it.
Frank is a swiss army knife. U dont put these guys in a box.....
I never saw Burke as a NBA starter. And that hasn't changed.
I think Trier can be groomed to be a PG.. .If that's the long term plan.
We probably have the most xnba and college PGs on our coaching staff. So I will assume that roll is being analyzed over and over. And maybe the PG of the future isn't on this team. If that's the case, they probably want to see if Frank can get used to multiple positions....so when they settle on a PG. Frank will still have a roll and be an impact player.

Curious, why do you think Trier and not Burke can be groomed? Seem to be the same time of player with the same type of PG deficiencies.
IMO, think they both have the same things they need to work on and both have a similar chance to get there. Obviously, Trier is a bit younger but feel Trey showed he was capable most of the end of last year and Trier has shown a bit of that to begin the year. I hope at least one pans out to be solid contributor. But agree that at this point, they are not starting PG grade.
I would to love to see ntilikina get an extended look at PG with Dotson at SF and Lance at PF. It would be our best defensive unit with Hardaway and Kanter leading the offense. Knox should eventually replace Lance in the lineup. Then Porzingis replace Dotson down the line.

Absolutely. I think Fiz has sort of hinted at that.
