I get Lance being in to likely guard Durant but man in this day and age with all the scoring/shooting and pace 8n the league Lance needs to find bench quickly.

Believe that Frank, Dot and Vonleh have all earned a shot....not sure Tim or Lance have.

I love what vonleh is doing but I feel he is better off the bench. Plus Kanter and Timmy have been the most consistent offensively. So kanter stays but the rest look good

I agree about Kanter. The Knicks really struggled when he sat out the final two preseason games. They need his offense. I think Dotson needs to start. Mitch getting more minutes would be a good thing. I don't think he is ready to start at this point.

yeah Kanter stays although vonleh has become important too. Frank and dot look good together by dotson brings offense as well as defense.

Gotta respect trying something new.

the only surprise is Kanter. I feel he should of stayed. Love vonleh but he fits better off the bench. Everyone knows I love mitch but he has barely played. Now he is pushed right in against the champs

Wonder if this is a GSW matchup switch, didn't like the last 5 games thing or something else. Feels to me like he wants guys who are giving more effort on both sides of the course. Also wonder if Fiz will give this unit (give or take) more than just 1 game.

Mitch!
I think Frank or Lance had to go. Keeping Frank in makes sense especially if he is going to get point guard minutes. Not sure that Kanter should be sitting but I think the job will be Mitch's eventually this year. Big shake up. The Warriors line up is so tough. It will be interesting to see who covers Durant.

Who would Kanter cover and how badly would he look trying to do it on the perimeter? Seemed to me that Kanter got eaten alive in the PnR against Miami

I think it also has some to do with future. Obviously Frank is looked as a key part of the future while lance as great of a leader as he is probably isnt here next year. I do like that fiz isnt sheltering the kids

I think that's sort of the point. I view the pre-KP portion of the season (which may be all of it) as the social experiment phase.

Throw some guys to the wolves every now and again, see how they respond.

Fizdale doesn't need to be playing this game to win.

He knows what time it is.

And I don't think it's tanking either. It's information gathering.

oh you are certainly right about his lack of defense. I guess im just surprised fiz threw mitch into the fire this quickly. Im not upset about it though.. im excited

Kanter coming off the bench...hmm thought he would have done enough to stay in the five. But as long as coach doesn't go the Larry Brown route in just starting guys in their hometowns, remember that.
?

"I like the idea of what they bring defensively," Fizdale said. "For the most part, all of those guys have been playing really well. I want to see them together. A lot of them are guys that we’re looking to move forward with in the future so let’s see how they play together.

"And I’d like to see how those other guys function off the bench. I challenged Enes to lead that group and make sure that they come in with the right mindset and take it to another level when they come in."

I love this coach. He sees the big picture and lets the kids who are working hard to go up against the champs.
meloshouldgo @ 10/26/2018 6:29 PM
I would have swapped out MRob for Hezonja and ideally Trier for THJR. But I don't see Trier starting anytime soon so maybe first guard off the bench. MRob is still very raw and likely to foul out too quickly, maybe Hezonja needs to show more, his shooting efficiency is pretty lousy but he would provide some scoring. The warriors will lock down THJR probably sick Klay on him.

Well, that's gonna happen. Only experience will get him past it.

Might as well let it happen during a game that will be decided by halftime.
