Waiting for TripleThreat's corporate sneaker conspiracy about what happened to what should have been our starting PG.
Nothing negative about the dude.
He get paid for working hard and being at the right place at right time.
Respect.
He will find a spot on another team.
Tough player, but we are overloaded at the position, and it wasn't hard to decide between Trier and him for the spot.
Fizdale seems to want offense first players at G, but Trier has, for me, been a pleasant surprise on D, and although he is a bit selfish at times, he is also a decent passer.
Baker never found consistency on the offensive end, but on the right team, I think he can carve out a career as a role player.
Hmm, means we definitely need to move Lee now as we no longer have a max slot free this offseason, doesn't it? A shame to lose the Bi annual exemption too, as could have been useful for filling out the roster this offseason.
Still, glad to have locked in Zo for 2 years then have his early bird rights. Lesson to team: sign undrafted players with potential to multi year deals NOT 2-way contracts!

After the season is over we can stretch provision Lee. He would count for $3M against the cap for 2019-20.
Max salaries for 2019-20 are estimated:
6 years or less player: $27.25mil
7-9yr player: $32.7mil
10+yr player (NEVER sign one of these they are poison contracts) $38.15mil
Mills eats another contract, how the hell couldn't he find a trade for a guy who has 4 months left on his contract..
it's pathetic..just goes to show how ridiculous that contract was that he basically gave baker 8 mill, for a month worth of games..
couldn't find a trade for kuz and he was making less than 2 mill, couldn't find a trade for Noah, traded willy for practically nothing, and still can't find a trade for lance or Lee 2 high character players..smh
Knicks paid Baker as a reward for basically being the only dude that was busting his ass on defense and did not give up on that dismal season two years ago. He never deserved more than maybe a $1.5 mil a season, so he essentially was paid for about 4-5 years worth of work. He is decent enough that I could see him signing somewhere else if his 3 pointer proves consistent, but more than likely, he probably will be playing in the G League for the remainder of his career. Wish him the best. He was a solid dude.

Been a tough week for him first the young guys he wants banished to the G League have stepped up and the veterans he loves aren’t getting all the minutes
It does eat into our cap space for next year. Wr just added another contract without shedding one

Do you think it will be filled with numerous non related analogies? I sure hope so.

Kuz was unwanted, he landed out of the league. Teams could have had him for nothing. No trade value.
Willy, we drafted him in the second round. We got two picks in return. Howz he doing in Charlotte?
Can't find a trade for Noah. No shyt.
You want to dump Lance? He is in last year of deal. You want to take back more years in return? Nope. Whats his market? Do teams want him or is Perry just napping?
Courtney, same thing. He has this year and next on his deal. You want to take back more years?
Your ranting without logic over and over what we already know in a manner that you think you are above the rest us.
Who does this over and over without understanding or context?

Marks tweeted that the second year is not guaranteed and said the Knicks might not pick up the option, sign their free agents and then give Trier their room exception which would be about 4.7 mil. So they didn't necessarily add another salary.
