There is no point playing. KP needs to shut his twitter down and shut his pie hole. It’s all about Zion. If they so much as win a damn meaningless game and repeat the same ill fated history. This Knicks organization has tormented its fan base.

Yes. Quite frankly, KP has done more damage with his behavior than good with his play. The Knicks can't trade him fast enough. I see him more as a weak link than as a foundational player. He is another Melo in the making.

Can’t be so sensitive about things ny media tries to stir up. Porzingis has done zero damage in any way. Don’t get sucked in.

What data do you have to support this? If he feels he’s healthy, can help the team and play for a contract, he has every right to be upset. Yes, “our” Knicks are playing for a draft pick and business is business... but husiness is business for the players as well. You always think of yourself before the business. I don’t care what your fandom says.

Porky in concert with Melo wrecked havoc on Phil and Horny at the end of last year. Skipping the exit interview and then becoming an anal prima donna for the summer.

It doesn't matter how "healthy" he feels. The Knicks aren't playing to win. Period.

It makes no sense to trot KP out to play in losing causes and risk re-injury. And would a half-season of stat padding really justify a MAX contract for a player who suffered an ACL injury? Nothing he does changes that risk factor.

His contract is assured and will likely and rightly come with medical considerations.

Undermining yet another coach and front-office is bad form and a disturbing behavior pattern. I get nothing but bad vibes from this guy. Yes business is business but as a fan I'm tired of the Knicks being played as a money-sink for dysfunctional has-beens.

KP can begin earning his paychecks next year.

I see the kawhi leonard/spurs ordeal playing out.

What star FA is going to sign with this Franchise especially not knowing KP's status, and Why the hell you wouldn't want to see how he holds up before throwing a boat load of money at possible damage goods..

this team will still lose 90% of it's remaining games with or without kp, they are still a bunch of misfits in a YMCA system.

He is a malcontent who will kill our leverage in a trade. Trade him now to Boston for all 4 of their draft picks. Do it now before he gets hurt again and he is worthless. This team is so far away from being good. Maybe by in a few years when these cap killing bums like Hardaway Jr are off our cap sheet we can think about being competitive. Until then collect assests and stay flexible so if an oppurtunity arises we can pounce.

nyknickzingis @ 1/13/2019 6:22 AM
Thought it was Phil Jackson's fault for this.
I would blame him.
Oh wait he left 18 months ago.

Still this stuff?

You know why?

No one believes in Mills or Dolan.

They haven't won anything or created anything in the league to have a player's interest.
And in KP's case, he wants that free agent interest. They did not give him a max extension.

He should play 20 or so games.
Prove his talent.

If nothing is risked, then we stay nowhere?
The past has little to build on. But at some moment you have to build.
KP can either be the epicenter of change or seek to participate to another.
Dolan is in the background after two decades of mistakes. Mills first tenure was MSG exec. His second was derailed quickly by Phil.
We look at this thru our own prism. We assume KP wants to win and money. Why not here?
Hardaway is not a franchise cap killer, he avg 20ppg and makes avg salary for the position. Problem is he is the best player on a really bad team.
What is the cause of the tension? KP wants to play? Rush it? Who is right, who is wrong? Is there really way to quantify? No two injuries or player are the same. In the end both knicks and KP want the same thing. Wins and money.

If Nalod is wrong, Nalod will be disappointed. A knick fans learns to live with that.

KP is a bonus.
If he would not be in NY it will not be the end of the world.
Him sticking around and coming back strong will speed up the rebuild process.
But it will not replace it.
He is a huge asset by playing for Kincks, or being traded, or bringing more talent on-board.
Everything is luck - getting Zion, signing KD or other big FA, getting KP back strong.
We need to be ready to cache out on luck if we get lucky and survive and move on in best possible shape if we don't.
You cannot change the Karma but you always can get ready to accept and embrace the things to come.

So trade KP for assets so we can try to use them to draft another KP. Then trade again. Rinse and repeat. If you have a potential franchise player age 23 you keep him. Trading KP is something a stupid team does. The media creates most of the negative stuff. Let’s build with what we have.

Nalod @ 1/14/2019 11:01 AM
Im a fan and root for my guys to succeed.
I have been exposed to disappointment many times over the years.
This is entertainment and refuse to get angry or need to guard my emotions because I might be disappointed.
The odds are never in a teams favor. KP is not perfect but to just assume trading him is the answer is not a given.
We might have gotten the top pick for him and drafted Fultz. Shyt like that happens.
KP blew out his knee. Shyt happens.
Chandler @ 1/15/2019 11:23 AM

Honest question

Does KP want to come back because he's a competitor and wants to be on the court (good thing IMO) and we need a way to channel that

Or does this have to do with $$ and in what year he can make the max?

Either way his attitude on this needs to be respected. It's not like we're the Warriors or some other elite franchise where the player may need to sacrifice if he wants to win the championship. Instead we're asking him to sacrifice to be a member of this shit show

Did we? By waiting he gives up what? Assume we will still max him, is it better for him to have signed last summer or this? What does he lose?
