If your averaging 14.8pts 10.8rbs on 54% shooting and the coach is benching you in a contract year when you’re playing your best basketball at 26 years old it’s not your obligation to be quiet if the team wants to loose games and play someone that got called up from the D league. Can’t fault the guy.

I'm not a fan of Smith Jr, but I'd be interested in seeing a back court of Frank and him. Definitely wouldn't do Frank and Tim Jr for him. Maybe Vonleh, Burke and Tim Jr for him and wes
If we can't dump Tim Jr for expiring then I think we should look at other teams with players with a similar contract

Yea, no need to add frank and a backcourt off the bench of Smith jr and frank would be sweet. We get rid of thjr contract in the process, to set up a run at Durant or another top free agent. Even if we strike out in free agency, and get number 1 pick look at next years roster.
KP,Robinson
Zion, vonleh
Knox, Dotson
Frank, trier
Smith jr,free agent
#2 pick line up and medium free agent
Robinson, Kornet
KP,vonleh
Knox,trier
Rj,frank
Kemba, Smith JR
Hopefully Worst case #3 pick no big free agent splash
Robinson,Kornet
Kp, vonleh
Knox,Dotson
Trier,frank
Ja Morant, Smith jr
Even in worst case if healthy that’s a top 5 team in the east with loads of cap space
I think we need to give frank till 22 to see how he develops the guy is still screaming with potential.

If you are also giving up around 1.25 points for every point you score, it is not your team's obligation to put you on the floor. So you can go jump. Can definitely fault the guy.

i agree. what he couldn’t add of course but hopefully is thinking: “if we have any hope of dumping timmy without losing assets or incurring costs we better find some way of building up his worth.”
exactly. that was a clear diss to timmy as well like...we have you for 18 mill for 2 more seasons after this, but guess what buddy...that'll be your last multi-year contract at anything remotely close to the money

But his best basketball is not winning basketball because he's clueless at one end

I think Kanter was aware of the fact the Knicks are rebuilding, prioritizing development and that he was not a part of the future beyond this year. He wanted to get paid 18 mil anyway and opted in.
Can we do Timmy + Lance + Burke for DSJr + Wes instead if this rumor is actually true?
Then we can flip DSJr or Frank next season depending on who shows up ready to play the right way.
