This is Knicks D-Day. Or is it Z-Day?

Putting my good luck post here waiting for this day.

Come on baby! Light my fire!

As fans, we definitely need Zion. We've endured a lot. It's hard to root for this team. I don't care about the games, and it's getting to the point where my fandom is eroding. I can't believe I am alone in that feeling.

Now Douchebag Dolan- he so doesn't deserve anything as owner. He deserves dropping to 5th. He's a miserable human being- and I say that not knowing him through anything but the media.

Unless we win, I don't see my waning fandom changing course here.

Whenever I try tankathon, nearly every time we end up with the 4th or 5th. May 14th is going to be a grim day

Like I said on another thread: if we land 2 or 3,consider trading for AD. 4th or 5th and we're stuffed--wouldn't be high enough to tempt the Pelicans or draft a significant player for us- a role player is the best we could hope for and the annoying thing is is that it's mainly just SGs which I'm not sure are an improvement on dotson and Trier. Man, all this losing just to land the 4th or 5th pick and watch some teams like the Mavs or lakers or cavs leap frog us

Hoping this is the last time Knicks fans are more concerned.about losing, for a long time. Tired of watching the playoffs without the Knicks in it, year after year.

Dont want a quick fix that will get us back to the playoffs for a couple of years, and then back to tanking. Because the Knicks knowingly signed players who have a great deal of trouble staying on the court, to long term deals.

Wont be happy if we whiff on Zion. Not much more Perry/Mills/Fizdale could do to give us a chance. The least I want to see is the Knicks getting a top 3 pick. Falling in the draft again would be a cruel gesture from the BBall Gods. Not saying we deserve Zion, but we definitely dont deserve that!

Can anyone explain how the odds work. I get the bottom 3 have 14% chance and the worst team can't fall further then 5. Why are the odds greater if we don't land the #1 pick that we fall to 5? Don't we have decent odds at the #2 or #3 picks? If so, we should be fine with Barrett or Ja Morant (and move Dennis Smith). If I got this wrong - can someone please clarify. thanks

Good history of the NBA draft and for 2019 a graphic which explains it well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_draft_...

Basically there is a combined 52% chance that 4 teams move in front of us. That is why we have a 48% shot at that 5th pick

Got it now - thanks guys!
