I would be surprised if KD comes back this year...Seems like GS or his agent is trying to protect KD by calling the injury a calf strain...Looked like an achilles injury to me. The way he looked down at the back of his leg when he was running back up the court, looked like a typical achilles injury. Most athletes who suffered the same injury have said as much. If you go back and look at the film, KD grabbed at his achilles not his calf...
I’ve had this exact thought on my mind. But it would be kinda shady for GS to lie about it until the end. What if, conspiracy theory alert, the lie is carried to free agency? I know teams should do physical exams on players before signing, though, so the truth should be out sometime during the Finals.
But what are the consequences of that injury? Hiding it seems more like a FA thing than a Playoffs worry. That injury is huge and could have a big impact on the FA market if it were more than the calf.
I know it football teams do this all the time, so that the other team has to gameplan for the chance that super star X may be on the fieldl there are supposed to be rules against it

wow
their matchup has been the highlight of the playoffs IMO
The Rockets have let go of about half of D’Antoni’s staff.
D’Antoni sucks. Will do anything to keep his job.

I've read that the owner wanted to
another season and Morey wanted a complete purge. I guess this move was sort of a compromise. I'm thinking the Rockets should consider changing the GM position too.

For me, when the owner and GM are not on the same page, it's a cluster.
Who keeps a head coach and fires his assistants?
Horrible call. That was an offensive foul by Freak
Giannis has to make his free throws.

There's something to be said about postseason experience. Toronto has just been more composed. Plus Kawhi is letting people know he's been here before lol
Wow. Great win for the Raptors.
They need to interview Lowry with Kawhi.

Yeah. The gamble was worth it for Toronto. It'll make it all the more heartbreaking when Kawhi plays the Clippers next season.

I think they did great hiring Nurse. He is a great coach. When they fired Casey, I thought it was because Bud was available. Nurse has been great for them. They are a very well coached team.

Also helped with LeBron being out west

Ack! What little hope we had of landing Kawhi is gone
Well, the Drake Finals curse is broken, but the Drake Championship curse lives! If the Raps win, see Kwahi staying, if they lose, 50/50 he bails. If GS sweeps, or has an easy time, that might make Kwahi look to partner up somewhere with another star or two.
Will be interesting to see if KD comes back at all. The fact that he is rage tweeting at critics and haters online makes me wonder what the F he will be doing in NY? He will lose his freaking mind, lol. Seriously, makes me wonder if he could handle the intense scrutiny in NY. Especially if the injuries start kicking in.
Another reason I dont like the idea of flushing out all out young talent for a quick run. See the talented young players on the team as insurance, if another attempt at building a superteam in NY fails, for whatever reason.
Congrats DJ STFU
Kawhi gets last laff....
