thank u. i love it when people call them new jersey. they don’t belong in new york.

LOL...guess my disdain for 76ers is greater than for the Nets.

Woj reporting Cousins probably has a torn quad.

Man, same leg as Achilles injury. Tony Parker had torn quad (tendon, not muscle), came back a year later but realistically it was 2 years back to norm’ish

Warriors lose home court. Wow.

Not good at all for him- probably has been overcompensating for the achillies. I know all the writers praise players when they take significantly less to win, but I think when you're coming of a serious injury you really do need to take the money and run as you never know when your last pay check may be.

Nalod @ 4/16/2019 5:40 AM
I don’t think the money was there. This is a difficult guy to have in the Locker room and I recall it was a solid move for him to be part of something bigger than himself and work his way back in slow. He did. THings happen. Karma happens too.

The process made a statement last night against the Nets.
Atkinson vs. Fiz?
Kenny had three years. Kudo's to nets with Sean Marks who set upon a multi year goal to bring the team back to respectability with limited resources.
in some sense the knicks with Trier and Robinson (outliers from the 1st round) are similar.
They moved BroPez and what became the pick for Kuzma but got great value BEING PATIENT WITH DRUSSELL. This trade was last season and Russell really responded.
IF there is contrast and to compare then I'd say the Nets moment of clairity and recognition occurred three years ago. Knicks just finished year one with its coach and GM combo.
Slam the knicks is easy. They are deserving of it.
Hard thing is to appreciate what Nets have done. They had to eat some crow but they are building a nice core with tradable assets also.
Maybe we get there, maybe we don't.

Said a long time ago that Warriors were not going to win it all this year.
Always happens when you try to "buy" championships.
Remember Malone Payton with Kobe Shaq?

Karma

They have won 3 of the last four.........they paid 5mm to Boogie. Not sure what you mean?

Sam I am..........

Sam Presti's team is about to lose in the first round to a good Blazer team.
This team was built right thru the draft without a no. 1 over all pick (Durant was consolation prize to Greg Oden) and yet he drafted three MVP's.....Durant, Harden and Westbrook. Of the three he kept the one that was the hardest to build around given his style. Westbrook is a machine and HOF MVP talent but the WOW is it hard to build a winner!!!!

Im not sure he could ever have consoled Durant into staying had he made different choices. Harden might never have blossomed into what he became had he played with either Westbook or Durant. For that matter MDA took him to another level. MVP level. IM impressed. Easy to look back with the benefit of hindsight. Presti has done a formidable job over the years. They had to deal with SAS and GSW over the years. They are Seattle with Gary Payton, Utah with Stockton/Malone, Amare/Nash with PHX.... and perhaps Knicks with Ewing, some INdy teams with Larry Brown, etc etc that were contenders but had the bad fortune of being in an era with an alltime great. Bulls, Lakers, SAS, GSW......That's 20 chips right there. Just 4 teams. Then there was Lebrons trips to the finals and his 3 with Cle and Miami. That's 23

last 39 years....one third the teams have won chips.

10 Lakers
6 Bulls
5 spurs
4 Celtics
4 GSW
3 Pistons
3 Heat
2 Rockets
1 Mavs
1 Cavs
1 76ers.

Evidently this is not easy. Sam and OKC had a nice run. I don't have answers but they have had a nice growing team since they moved from Seattle. Media market Rankings don't tell full story. Seattle is 13th, OKC is 45th. Weird. Tampa is 11th. Orlando is 18th.

The comment was GSW was "buying" a title. Boogie's market value was hampered by his injury. He took less for the experience and to perhaps rehab his leg and reputation a bit. He is worth much more for sure but he took less (Perhaps) to try to earn a bigger contract this year.

CrushAlot @ 4/18/2019 10:41 PM
Dudley at it again.

Market was hampered yes, but not to the point where it was worth 5 mill only...you think there weren't other teams that would have easily paid more?

The point is that these super discount deals for marquee players, history has been showing...at least since I've been watching basketball to come back and bite the team when it matters most.

CrushAlot @ 4/20/2019 7:48 AM
OKC with a big win last night. McGrady thinks George has a torn labrum. I don’t think OKC has a chance at beating Portland if McGrady is right. The Thunder need George to play like an mvp to win.
