If there was a handshake and or wink, the Knicks can't go back on their word now that KD is injured....It would reflect poorly on this franchise from a business standpoint.

I have waffled on whether signing him was the right move. Today I think it is despite the injury. The franchise needs to take the next step. I would be lying if I didn’t say all the Net rumors and positive press coverage hasn’t bothered me.

Kyrie going to the nets doesn't bother me...if KD joins him, not sure If I will watch espn, or any other sports talk show for long time because its going to be nauseating. With that said, Seeing how Dominique returned from his achilles injury (29 pts per) has given me lots of hope. Most of the other guys who suffered the achilles injury were either at the end of their career or were nowhere the level of player as Durant or Nique.
What’s fathomable is that you don’t max out an old guy with a blown Achilles
Also fathomable is that material adverse change events can eradicate a hand shake deal

I agree about Kyrie. It will suck if KD joins him. I have read a couple of places that the surgery performed on Durant is more advanced and that it should help him recover more fully. It is going to be an interesting night no matter what happens.

How "in the know" is Vecsey these days? I was under the impression all of his sources from his heyday have dried up and he never came across as the type people warmed up to very easily to cultivate new sources. I would love to know what connections he currently has.

I kinda agree. I'm looking at this in glass half full mode. I'm fine either way but I'm leaning towards going for it in spite of the injury. As long as we don't commit to Boogie Cousins or throw crazy money at somebody like Russell.
Good.
I’m so relieved
Brooklyn can win the off seasons
Let’s win the long game here

That's the only way we can look at it and not lose our minds.
Hope Durant knows he’ll be more hated then ever
Maybe Knicks pivoted after the KD injury?
