One thing that will tell me that Frank has a new attitude on offense is when he leads with his chest. Has to be able to take a hit and finish. Takes practice, reps. Why Frank being at the bottom of the league at getting to the foul line, makes it hard to give him minutes.
Believe Fizdale can live with players having off shooting nights, as long as they're finding other ways to generate some offense. If Frank can get to the line at whatever the average is in this league. Bring back his stout defense. Frank should be able to find a place on lots of teams, if this one is too logjammed at guard. Even if he doesnt become a lights out shooter. Cant just rely on his defensive rep in today's NBA.
CGI? That's from his practice with the French World Cup squad.

No, I understand the disappointment in not having a space HoJo. Don't necessarily agree, but I understand. The video resolution was bad, so I wasn't sure if you really thought it was CGI. In any case, no big deal. I'm hoping Frank is making strides against solid competition and that move was encouraging on a number of levels.

Year 3 is usually a big year for PG ‘sis that coming out as a 4 year college grad? Which is 4 years away still.
Does last year count with his 904 minutes played?
We're still, I think, 2-3 years away from actually knowing if this kid can translate into an NBA contributor.
Don't know why this upcoming year can't be an indicator
For me it just seems it takes pg’s 3 or 4 years in the NBA to really figure it out letting the game come to them. Look at Lowery who looked like a bust his first 3 /4 years before coming into his own
, or even d Russ. Or how Rubio was injured forever before building up his strength.PG’s take time to develop... year 3 to 4 of NBA experience is a big stepping year especially for guards coming in at 18/19 years old.
I see frank coming into his own and letting the game come to him, he’s always had nice form on his shot, if he can become consistent and a threat from the outside it will open up the inside for him to over power his defender. At 6’7 225 he should dominate his pg opposition on both ends. Hopeful he can find a aggressive mindset because physically he is tantalizing.
Also look at the PG’s that came out of college with a bang like D rose seems like a super star that faded quick and the others like cp3 or Jkidd are generational once every 10 years.
Most PG’s in the NBA fall within the 3/4 year development before you know what they will become.
frank is not a NBA pg
Disagree. Think he can be a good PG. He has a good handle. Has good vision. Can defend speed. Has good bball IQ. Runs the PnR well. Don't think he can be considered a SG until his confidence/outside shot improves. Think his length would be lost at the 3. Feel that if he picks up the pace and attacks more, he can be a smaller version of Simmons. Problem will be getting minutes at PG. Hopefully he will. Will be interesting to see how they handle him this year. Hopefully he puts it together. Don't know ho I feel about getting him minutes in the D league if he does not make the rotation. Would be a confidence blow but may be the best way to develop at the point.
Well said, Nalod and others too. Frank has too much talent to throw away at 19. I can't believe people, either totally wanting to give up on the guy or saying what he is capable of, after 2 seasons. And last year was a rough year for the kid, for the team. I really look forward to Frank this year. I too am not holding my breath, but his defense alone has me. As others said, he has a nice stroke and is a smart player. Hopefully this year it starts to click, his shot develops and with his weight/height, he gets more aggressive.

Guess you dont like fine dining. Did you know who was the test kitchen research director at HOJOs for ten years? Legendary French chef Jacques Pépin. Story is that he was a chef at one of NYC's best restaurants at the time, and the president of Howard Johnson's was a regular diner there and hired him to revamp their menu.
Found this out from a book I got on making fried chicken, they have Pépin's recipe in there. For those of you who had the good fortune of dining in Chinatown in the 70s, there is also a recipe for General Tso's chicken. If you have eaten that dish since then, in most cases you will find that it tastes nothing like how its supposed to be made. A lot crispier. Great cookbook, some of the restaurants featured went on to win a James Beard award.

Bought mine used. Are more variations to fried chicken than one would imagine. Like that there are choices of oils for frying. Dont have to go heavy on the lard every time lol. Special occasions.

that's a nice play but he won't be doing that against Mitch in practice or against JaVale McGee, forget about Rudy Goebert. I want to see him shoot 45/35/75 or better against actual competition. This is a step up from posting up a chair.

this post has no basis in reality. Fizdale took Frank to playoff games last year. Fizdale started Frank for several weeks to start the season and he started averaging close to 30mpg. What happened is after a decent start Frank shot 29% in the month of November and played himself right out of the rotation. The only thing stopping Frank is Frank. I mean what coach wants to work in guys who do nothing but play D and set up teammates? It didnt help that he couldnt stay healthy.
If Frank has a good tourney and has a good preseason he will 100% be in the rotation.

I don't know, anrst laid down a good point.. from the preseason games to the first 10 regular season games of the previous season Fizdale showed no direction of a winning coach (having a 3-7 record). Yes, Fizdale did give Frank 30 minutes in 3 games within those 10 games, and the Knicks won 2 of those 3 games. After that, Fizdale gave Frank 16 to 19 minute per game throughout the remainder of the season, giving Frank 3 to 5 minute per quarter, by putting Mudiay in the rotation in the 7th game of the season. Plus in the Knicks 6th game of the regular season Fizdale replace 3 players in the starter lineup (Kanter/Thomas/Burke). The majority of NBA coaches would've cut down on those 3 players starter minute of playing time, rather than take them out of the starter lineup so early in the season. Tim Hardaway Jr. were the Knicks number one biggest weak area in the Starter and Finisher lineup, Fizdale took every starter out of the starter lineup except Timmy!
Frank's defensive presence on the court are very important for a win, especially when the Knicks want to stop opponents from getting easy passes in the passing-lane, and when the Knicks need a multi-defender to stop opponent PG/SG/SF scorers. DEFENSE win NBA championships!
I recall the Knicks record (23-33) when they traded for Mudiay on the February deadline in the 2017-18 season .. putting Mudiay at the point in the Knicks rotation lead the Knicks to have a 29-53 season, Mudiay were 6-20 as a Knick at the end of the 2017-18 season.

Talk to me 15-20 games in this season. Fizdale has NBA players and some shooting. This is not a tank season.

I recall the Knicks record (23-33) when they traded for Mudiay on the February deadline in the 2017-18 season .. putting Mudiay at the point in the Knicks rotation lead the Knicks to have a 29-53 season, Mudiay were 6-20 as a Knick at the end of the 2017-18 season.from the preseason games to the first 10 regular season games of the previous season Fizdale showed no direction of a winning coach (having a 3-7 record).Dont have a ton of context when everyone watching knew the Knicks goal was to get shots for the kids and lose as many as possible.Talk to me 15-20 games in this season. Fizdale has NBA players and some shooting. This is not a tank season.
Lets talk truth .. Frank loss minute for one reason only .. Defense win games .. And Fizdale's number one job for the Knicks front-office were to TANK the season for the number 1 draft pick Zion .. Duke's Zion had impressive stat numbers before ThanksGiving. And the Knicks record were 7-14 before ThanksGiving.
