I wouldn’t jump to a conclusion like that based on this moment. I mean, yes, his IQ is very questionable after tonight, but you have to take into account the frustrating night he was having and How he seems to be trying to do what his coach is asking from him.

I haven’t seen him look so out of control before in any previous game or highlight on other teams. At least not as consistently as with us.

If things don’t change with him, I’d still have to put a lot on blame on the way the coach is using him.

Highlights?! We talking about higlights?! So it's the coaches fault that Randle looks out of control with us after 2 games but he's never looked out of control in Highlights you seen of him on previous teams? Pretty sure what we are seeing has always been a part of his game. Plenty of things to blame Fiz for but after 2 games this is a bit much...

Look ive supported Fiz through a lot BUT last night is on him. Players have off nights I get that but both Morris and Randle were playing too much ISO which wasnt working and it was causing bad turnovers and possessions. Despite that we got back in the game and pretty much had the game won until they continued doing iso and turning it over. This is when Fizdale needs to pull in the reigns and tell them not to do that or bench them.

Not sure he was overpaid based on the market, but he looked overvalued this last game. I still think he can be a facilitator, but the tunnel vision has been noted as a weakness in his game. Coach can't be afraid to sit him when he's self destructing. Sometimes you can get a different perspective of a game from the bench. Whatever, suck...again.

New Orleans paid him 9 million last year.

The media made this out to be a potential technical but on the replay it looked like the ref motioned Randall to throw him the ball. Much ado about nothing, IMO.

And, in defense of Randall, Fizdale came up with the cockamammy idea that Randall is a point forward when clearly he is getting stripped every third time he dribbles and bounces the ball off his foot every other time he dribbles.

This idiocy is all on Fizdale. He needs to visit a psychologist to convince him he actually has capable PGs in Elfrid and Frankie and doesn't need everybody else playing that position.

This. Heard a pod with a guy that covers the Pels. What we saw last night was talked about a lot. Gentry and Walton also suck I guess.

On a make good deal. He made good, with a career year.

hes a fake zach randolph

The rap on him was IQ

Personally i think he plays hard and can contribute. We need to figure out how to use him better

Dribbling the ball off his feet in key situations though is not a good look for him or the team though

StarksEwing1 @ 10/26/2019 11:13 PM
He showed good passing in preseason and is small flashes in the regular season. I like Randle and think his offense Is important but its been too much iso. Part of that is on the coach but Randle should use his passing skills more often because he has shown he can do that well

Yeah, but especially when we have Elf. I still like the idea of Randle running some point forward in spot minutes, when the matchup is favorable. But we brought in a PG whose main strength is being a competent orchestrator and then we marginalize him. We need Randle to finish and make a few outside shots. He's not Mase.

agreed. there are a number of things he can do to contribute. but it seems with him there is a fine line and when he tries to do too much things get real ugly

i like his passing and he's a beast inside rebounding.

i'd like to think his role will sort out. but we also need to calibrate expectations. He's a good solid player being paid all star money

nyknickzingis @ 10/27/2019 11:23 AM
Randle is not built for Fizdale's system. He would do better in a more open free flowing offens like Gentry has in New Orleans.

However, on a good team, Randle is a sixth man and third option with the starters first option with the bench, not a top guy. Knicks paid him like a franchise guy. Knew this was a bad deal.

NYKBocker @ 10/27/2019 12:03 PM
I like him. He just needs to have an internal clock. If you have the ball for 2 seconds and you have not done anything then move the ball.
