RJ was a little slow to it tbh but it was definitely not an easy shot.

I will say this. Our defense looks solid. If we play like this from now on, we are going to win a decent amount of games.
StarksEwing1 @ 11/1/2019 10:04 PM
Should of never gotten to that point. This team needs to spend a whole practice just shooting free throws. Again too much ISO because the coach has no system. Why not try some PNR with Frank who is starting to hit some shots? Ellington has been neautralized again
TPercy @ 11/1/2019 10:05 PM
Man whoever set up our schedule wanted us to fail...we've played too many tough teams.

Seems to be the story of our season.

Yay

It was a great shot by Tatum RJ was a step slower which was the difference. It seems like we have no luck either

We are gonna BE in a lot of games.

We are still gonna lose way more games than we will win. We just don’t know how to close games. Can’t say they will learn because Fiz has made a career out of it.

Tbh seeing much less ISO. Not saying we are running anything serious but there has been a clear enforcement of team ball. Its just that the plays themselves/execution hasn't been great.

Yay

We had the worst record, so you can say every team is the better team.

But this was a legit moral victory. I think Fitz is inching closer and closer to the right lineup and rotation. Gotta keep it tight, and risk losing some players to DNPs.

Randle is my biggest disappointment so far this season.

We will lead the league in moral victories!

I think it will happen. The offense looks better than it did the first couple of games, and the defense is better as well. Eventually, they are going to get over the hump and start winning. I think can still get to 28-30 wins, which is good start from where we were last year.

Uptown @ 11/1/2019 10:20 PM
Our rebounding kept us in the game...we really crash the offensive glass. We are not an overly talented team so their is no way we are going to win games until we clean Turnovers and free throws.

It has lessened thats for sure. I would just like to see more set plays otherwise we settle for too many threes or leads to a TO. Defense has been better that i like

Yeah. Fiz really has to simplify his role. Not saying he can't there, but sometimes you step back to see the entire picture. I know we can't bench him because of politics. But I know he's better than this. Got to get him recalibrated somehow.

This. The Nets prior to tonight had only played one playoff team, the Pacers, and they have had only one road game.
elmaestro33 @ 11/1/2019 10:47 PM
Not that it mattered, but they really should have stopped the game and reviewed if Tatum’s shot was a 2 or 3 pointer. They scored it as a 3 which sets up a materially different play at the end there.

I agree. This team has a lot of fight. They have to overcome no roster continuity. This is a new team. Most nights four out of five starters played for a different team last year.

Every year the same excuses.

Truth is, we always start with some fight. Heck, I think we have been close or at 500 early in past seasons. They fight but lose until they lose so much that the fight weakens and reality of another losing season settles in.

Prove me wrong, Knicks, I’ll be very happy. But truth is we are green, with a mediocre coach and a suspect roster construction, including a debacle at PG. The fight is nice but if they don’t start getting more wins, they will sing so far below they will lack the motivation to keep fighting.

Knicks still losing but over last 6 game, first to this one, I’ve seen team improvement. Still long way to go before wins get there
