Fiz needs to go , he is either A) Coaching the stupidity of Morris and Randle or B) They have no respect for him and are doing what they want either way its not good. That last play out of a time no less is all you need to know about Fiz's Xs and Os.
Definitely frustrated after this game but not ready to give up on Fiz. No coaching continuity if the Knicks keep firing coaches. Fiz needs one of Payton or Smith to be a reliable penetrating point guard. Frank has been great but there needs to be a consistent point that puts pressure on the d.
Screw this point forward BS, we personnel(RANDLE) cannot handle it. God I hate when the PG hand the ball to this asshole as soon as they come accross half court

They needed a penetrator with that zone. Smith can’t be that lazy with his fouls either. The Knicks needed Smith tonight. Also, why isn’t Smith bringing up the ball when he is in the game? The guy penetrates and draws the defense.
Something that has never made sense this season.
One of the strong arguments for when Fiz is fired.
why Randle not imbounding the ball, Where was Trier or Barrett

I don’t want Fiz fired but I agree. If the ball isn’t in Smith’s hand he shouldn’t be in the game.

Coach takes the ball out of all PGs hands when they cross halfcourt. Has done it with all PGs. I really hate it and it’s one of the main reasons I hate Randle.

This wasn't typical frank. It was one of his better efforts. He looked more aggressive. He wasn't tentative per his usual performances.
But it wasn't a great performance overall, no.
The truth is Frank is very young and he plays good enough all around to likely remain in the NBA for another 5 years or so, and so you might think maybe the offense will come along slowly but will that come as a Knick?
I think ultimately he doesn't develop that offense fast enough and the Knicks let him go the RFA route and then decide whether or not to match based on any offers.
So the search for a PG continues...

hope so
I saw a highlight with him visibly limping. Got freaked out

I agree. Randle is like a really bad reliever in baseball. He touches the ball and bad things happen. And your best ball handler giving up the ball when they cross half court makes no sense. The
yoo glaring stat: last in league in points per game but 14th in league in opp pts per game. our offense is clearly the problem.
TPercy wrote:Team didn't look good in the 3rd. there were moments were Dotson had the ball and simply had no idea what to do. Fiz needs to do better.
They started off strong but didn’t adjust to the zone.
look at randle's assists vs TOs. Randle has never shot the ball in 2.1 seconds so why is he being given the ball on inbounds.
Not sure if anyone else saw this last night. On a couple of occasions, Randle had the ball off a defensive rebound. Frank was asking for the ball and Randle waived him off telling him to go and he will bring the ball up. This has to stop. Fizdale needs to stop this.
Fizdale was outcoached last night period. From the Charlotte zone to the end of the game. Pathetic.
I'll take this loss.
Saw Frank get his reps with Fiz starting to put the ball in his hands more(his shots seem to soft hitting front iron over and over and over), Barrett hit his FTs and continues to flash his potential(needs to clean up those wild passes), Mitch has looked like a future all star.
Now to find a way to work Knox in. Smith had a bad gm, but I think he will be fine when its all said and done.

Turnovers aside, thought Frank looked good out there. His handle seems to be improving. More willing to use his dribble to get by his defender. Showed some nice moves in the 4th. Shot the ball when he was supposed to. At times when he normally would pass up the shot. Still looks like a reserve to me, but also looks like he is finally starting to show real confidence out there. Might look like a reserve, but if Frank can be counted on for a little more offense, that could change. Frank might have been a little gassed at the end, but he definitely looks like he has developed more endurance. The minutes he's been getting lately, would have had him bent over, breathing very hard, not so long ago.
Those early fouls on Smith jr got him off his game, got frustrated, and never really had his head in it afterwards. Just got back to playing, still dealing with the loss of a fsmily member. Needs time to get back into the swing of things
Those 3 buckets in a row by Randle was great, but overall Randle is a hot mess. Too much heroball, too much ball stopping. Wish he would watch some film from Doncic last season. The way he gets in the paint, directs traffic, finds cutters. Is a good passer, but should not be bringing up the ball.
If this is what we will be seeing all season from Randle, hope its his only one here.
Tough Loss. These are worse than the blowouts. Should've-COuld've-Would've!
Listened to the game, so no feel on how guys played. Saw the last play. Frank has to do a better job satying with his man. That is just a bad play. First rule of defending a player is ball denial. By going to the other guys- he allowed the pass to be made to Graham.
GAME OVER
No Way Fiz is going to draw a good enough play to get a decent shot off. That is why he is a Asst not a head coach.

true he does it with Frank and DSJ, in each case the pg then hides in the corner. Since neither is a reliable spot up shooter that guy's defender immediately starts sagging and thinking help defense.
it also puts them in an inferior position for any eventual transition D
honestly Fizz needs to go. this isn't a close call. Guy is clueless.

Crush does it make any sense to you about Fizz having his pgs dump the ball off and hide in the corner? seems to be playing to their weakness even more. Why not keep Frank or DSJ up top running PnR

I missed it but that is really bad. Not sure what to do about Randle. He is horrible in the role he is in. He touches the ball and I expect something bad to happen.
