Yup - still bad coaching leaving Dennis Smith Jr in for that long. He isn't playing well and we consistently give up double digit leads when he is on the floor. And Randle/Morris ball hogging needs to stop if we are to win close games.
I am really liking Gibson though. The unit with Frank, Dotson, Mitch was solid defensively - hope we can see more of that

Frank was our best player tonight. Smith did well too but things went downhill after Frank sat
Smith wasnt why we lost the lead. Better option to get buckets in a hurry, but Fizdale went with Frank. He earned it.
Wasn’t blaming Smith. But it’s clear when Frank leaves the game we take a hit. Same thing happened against Charlotte. DSJ played very well. I wouldn’t of minded if frank and DSJ played together down the stretch they earned it

Agreed!! Fire Fiz!!! This guy is an empty suit that needs to go!

Smith on minutes restriction it seems. He did good. Knicks do better with frank on the floor.
Maybe. Frank has done a respectable job as starter. Believe he's earned the opportunity to be the closer. Good night for Frank.
2 of last 3 games guy blows big leads. Not good
Nalod you can have him if you want him! You and uptown can keep the light on for him
NY has to find Defense when Frank leaves the game. SMith has improved HIS offense but he is not running the team and he is not stopping anyone.
Fiz sat the starters to long giving momentum to the 76ers.... smith had a good offense game but his defense is G League... we need Payton to back up frank. We should try and get a first for smith.
Also 76ers got lucky the refs missed on a bunch of calls Morris got hammered on a fast break would have put us up by one instead Scott nailed a three and they went up 4... that ended the game
40 baskets on 17 assists for us, vs 39 baskets on 30 assists for Philly.
I understand that these numbers don't tell everything about our offense, of course, but I started looking at the ratio since Fizdale became our coach and noticed that we seemed to be playing too much 1/1 ball. The assist to basket ratio seemed to confirm this for me.
I will keep on saying it until I consistently see something else, but we don't play good team ball on the offensive end, and it really shows at times.

. It doesn’t help that we have a few guys who just do constant ISO without ever getting reprimanded by the coach so that just kills possessions. There are times where the ball is moving well when we allow our guards to do so but it never lasts because these certain players go back to ISO and since they know they have free reign we lose a ton of leads or momentum. Same thing every game
Nalod wrote:No credit for the lead?
Nope. They blew it. Can you also blame lack of talent? Yes. But the poor defense, going to one on fives and low IQ plays killed us. Mitch and Randle aren’t nearly as good as the roles they are given.
This game is the perfect illustration of what we have been talking about. Took the ball out of the PGs hands down the stretch even though its what led to our lead. Only to do the same thing that has failed us all season. Frank wasn't all of a sudden scared. This has made it clear that its by design, choice, preference.
Low IQ selfish decisions and lack of accountability for them.

Absolutey. Morris would never be able to pull this in San Antonio because POP would have benched his ass. Im sure that factored into him pulling out of that deal. Here he is basically his own boss so he has free reign. Randle has the same tendencies but at least Randle has decent passing ability but again the coach doesnt push him to do that

Yes, the vets are the biggest culprits! Tonight Randle forced the issue. Morris too. ISO is ok, when they post up or the shot clock is down.
Need to play smarter. Coaching must be smarter. Simmons not fouled once at the end....that's just not thinking.

I'd say Fizdale doesn't mind the ISO ball. Let's face it, we were in the game until the end, even with the selfishness on offense. In the long run, it won't work, though.
There are moments in a game where ISO ball is fine, but I'm dying to see a coherent offensive philosophy on the court from Fiz.
Iso ball is bad. The only positive attribute of iso is potentially fewer turnovers as a result of ball movement.
I don’t like it but I can understand that logic if u have Lebron or harden or wade doing the iso
We do iso ball without a pick. So our guy is going iso on their defender of choice. That’s dumb times two
When our FO wakes up and fires Fizz it’s one of the first things I expect to change under a new coach. The sooner the better

lol. i love me some marv
Feel like Marv took his blue pill before the game and was going toe to toe with scorebot for 3 plus quarters, Rebecca does her cheesesteak deepthroat swallow and marv is mysteriously gone shortly after that. Hmmmm
