Ridiculous and crackheady sounding? Yes. But I am pretty sure the Knicks are doing worse drugs than crack so it’s an improvement!
Not sure that would be a great idea. As good as Houston was, his stroke was all in the wrist. Not something you want to teach players.
good players don't always make good coaches...and just because someone is good at something doesn't necessarily mean they can pass along that ability.
but this begs the question that has always bugged me.
As a franchise, we have a cap on the spend for players. But, why don't we assign individual trainers/coaches to all of our players? Why do we not have more scouts than other teams?
Are any of these things restricted?
For a franchise that blew through the cap for mediocrity, I would expect they could spend a small percentage of that money on staff- personal trainers, cooks for the players to make sure they take care of themselves.
Why doesn't every player have a personal coach? A personal shooting coach.
Heck, why can't we pay Hakeem to be an exclusive Knick big man coach?

Einstein taught, but he did make others as smart as him. As said, being great at something cannot be taught.
Hakeem a few years ago was working just with Rockets but not known if he still does.

Maybe knicks have. Not every practice gets reported or video sampled.

You’re right. Maybe they have. As far as I know though, I am allowed to assume they haven’t based on the fact that they have a huge coaching staff and shot doctors that don’t work.

There's an Allan Houston DVD on shooting that my boys grew up with (circa 1995-2005). Outstanding quality. The Pistol Pete Maravich videos are great too.

Huston never was athletic. Just a shooter. Unorthodox. Was running well. OK defense.
Kind of Rip. He also not the brightest dude on the block and pretty soft personality.
