Knicks · Isola: Mills “either be reassigned or simply removed from the building” after the season (page 2)

Im rooting for this team to succeed. If not, roll more heads. 60 games to go. Not looking for miracle, just a positive trend.
Its the holiday season. Look for miracles.
That's why I always looked at Perry as a puppet. In every press conference Mills does 98% of the talking, and in some cases when he is asked a question directly mills jumps in and answers for him.

The Athletic has some great journalists in other areas, but he's the only one I can think of who seems the odd one out in that regard due to his ridiculous bias regarding the Knicks.

It’s probably because they have been given notice as well. Fiz was fired to stop the blow out loses, low hanging fruit. Mills and Perry are also out after the season.

If that’s the case, then they HAVE to keep Mike Miller until the end, even if it gets massively ugly. You need to hire a new GM who can hire his coach of his/her choosing.

Interim coach has no expectations.
He can be around in this capacity until roster will be stabilized.
If we will have some mark-able improvement this year he can be hired for short term inexpensive contract.
But most likely it will take at least one more season.

I thought the record spoke loud enough. In time stuff will leak out and perhaps you be graced by an explanation. This is not the weirdest FO. I thought the firing/Exile of Larry easily tops this. The HOuse of Isiah from day one. Mocks CHaney on talk shows, fires him without a replacement. Negotiates with Fratello but can’t get Dolan to pay, so his agent suggests Wilkins who was not even looking to work, Isiah takes the bait and Lenny come s out of retirement. Thats weird. Dolan jumping over Donnie to get Melo. Thats weird.
Hiring Woodson when MDA was not down for it, thats weird. Phil gets his last years at 12 mil per guaranteed then firing him, thats weird. Anucha was weird. Taking it to court and not settling was weird. All the while Dolan extends Isiah, thats weird.
You can whine all day, and you will about our FO but it starts at the top. Dolan will fire MIlls and hire the Next guy. Like he did the others. This is why Free agents don’t come and we don’t have a winning culture. We have no culture, its a whimsical reactions and not built on a foundation. LIke I said, I’d rather have mills name his successor then Dolan.

All depends how desperate Dolan is. Wether he wants to be an owner long term, or he wants to be able to right the ship (Raise the Titanic) and sell. Dolan is going to have to pull out all the stops to land an exec with the chops to turn things around. Also looks like he is getting sone grief from activist investors. Would Dolan let those execs stand in the way, if say Ujiri said he wanted to clean house? Doubt it. Im sure Dolan can find other jobs for them, if necessary.
Dolan hates this negative attention like an SOB. For the right exec, pretty confident Dolan wont hobble the next team president. Believe he's had his fill of losing, and will give the next front office even more control. My guess.

Dolan of Christmas past............He needs his “Ghost Moment” and then come to conclude he must move aside if he really does want to win!!!! LOL
KP all over again.
We can deal RJ to Denver for Bol Bol and 2 seconds

Typical Isola article: 99% speculation fluffing up one percent of interesting info. Still....I'm holding out for that final Woj bomb.

Look. Dolan trusts Mills and Mills trusts Dolan. There will be a shuffle, this title for that but only the bodies will change. Dolan will still hire a trusted insider as it should be.
Dolan is not the fool everyone makes him out to be. He has allowed more than one FO take risks that few other teams would sign off on. Its unfortunate they haven't worked out but he's game.
Jesus, the crowd howling at Dolan are just wasting their breath. Yell about World Peace or Global Warming - same effect.

The McDyess trade did have its risks and rewards. It was his healthy knee that blew out. That was a big money trade no GM can do without his owners blessing or maybe it was just forced on Layden. It was rumored Layden did not want to trade for Marbury and it was on his desk when Isiah was hired.
The Knicks for some reason just went in such a drastic different route. Horny was coaching Porzingis and Frank well. Even if you fire Horny, why not get a guy who would coach Porzingis and Frank well, and fit in with him, like an international coach? Someone who would understand what to do with their talents. Why not keep Kanter as he had some leadership and toughness?
The reason KP left is that he saw what crap planning and inconsistency the Knicks had. They didn't even offer him a contract extension. Yet they pay Julius Randle as much per year and overpaid Timmy by a lot. I understand KP would not be himself likely until 2021. After an ACL injury, but your window to compete was not going to be before 2022 anyway. I just don't get why they went completely backwards as if they had no talent. They had talent, an all-star and some cap, and lottery picks. For some reason they acted like they needed to re-set and become worse. Why? You already had a great piece in play. Why not build off it ....
Mills is an idiot. It's been proven. He has no consistency with his plans and he backstabbed Phil Jackson multiple times. He doesn't allow anyone to really control the team properly and then himself he has no consistency or good plan.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcGoKMj7Lw0
That's all you need to know as a Knicks fan.
Everyone has success before or after the Knicks. Phil Jackson. D'Antoni. Larry Brown.
Just not as a Knick. There's been one consistency. Mills. He sucks. He has to go.
Nalod wrote:It wasn't his healthy knee, it was the left knee and he had hurt the same knee twice before. It was an awful trade. I still remember hearing on the radio before the draft that the Knicks were going to trade the 7th pick and Camby for Dyess. Ruined my night and that draft and hurt the KNicks for years. I saw Dyess live in his second year in the league. He was one of the most impressive players I have ever seen but trading for him coming off that knee injury was dumb. Having him on the court in the final minute of an exhibition game was dumb.fwk00 wrote:Nalod wrote:All Team presidents and GM are “Puppets”.
