I'm really interested on seeing who's minutes gets cut. I think Miller has been doing a very solid job managing the rotation..But if Bullock can give you 3&D, something we haven't really haven't gotten from knox or frank, what do you do
TLover @ 12/18/2019 8:43 AM
We don’t have a true small forward on this team.. would like to see him mesh in with our young guys after we trade the big contract vets.

No way should he cut into Knox's mins...We're 7-21...We need to be developing our young players. Moreover, Knox has had 2 consecutive good games...

I know, but we have seen this knox before, and he doesnt stick around long. Maybe miller can get him to play both ends more consistent, but there's no question his motor shuts off and on..

I just realize that rhymes...uh oh Bars baby..lol

Is Bullock a true small forward? He's 6'6" and listed as both SF & SG.

I think RJ is the closest to being a true small forward.

fishmike @ 12/18/2019 9:50 AM
I like Bullock a lot. He's an excellent defender and I would say just above average hitting the 3. He does some good things and can really help.
TPercy @ 12/18/2019 10:18 AM
I'd rather have him take the backup SG spot and eventually take the starting spot and slide RJ down to the 3 and make Randle 6th man. At least in the short run anyway, we are in dire need or shooting.

Randle and Morris are our best players, that's not even up for debate..Nobody on that bench is better than either one of them by any stretch.

When RJ starts getting the respect of the refs that's when you can move him to to the sf position. Let him continue to over power the smaller guys guarding him.

I think you can always adjust frank, portis, dotson, and knox minutes. I think bullock will be used as a extra tool in the shed in the event one of those guys aren't playing well.

martin @ 12/18/2019 10:40 AM
I gotta guess that both Bullock and Wayne will get spot minutes after RJ, Dot, Knox are not playing well and/or off bench. Wouldn't be surprised if one is traded before deadline. I'll also guess that Reggie, at 28 and on a much better salary deal for 2 years will be kept, he is a steal if performing up to career averages.
BigDaddyG @ 12/18/2019 10:40 AM
It's way too early to worry about this. You have to give the guy at least a month to find his groove.

Knox has shown a more consistent effort level lately. I wouldnt cut his minutes unless that effort level drops again, not.just an off game or two. Too early to talk about cutting bait IMO. Youngest or second youngest player in the league last season, has shown enough to be patient. A .200 winning pct team isnt a great place to figure things out. Maybe a better prepared team will pay dividends.

how bright our future is largely depends on how Knox develops. Bullock has nothing to do with that. Morris has nothing to do with that. The season is lost, it makes no sense to starve Knox of minutes to benefit our mercenarie$

season is absolutely NOT lost. Thats madness. Knicks should look to play better and make the playoffs. My god there are 50+ games left.

supremeCommander wants to continue to tank at all cost so we can develop knox...he wants to get rid of every player the knicks didn't draft.

He is hell bent on making sure we have a fresh new roster every season

I understand the concern here. You want to try to win. The team I thought under performed with Fizdale.

But, we dug a nice hole, and I would hate to see this team win 28 games and lose out on a franchise talent due to a quixotic effort to save the season.

I also recognize you can't continue to lose, especially when we're trying to develop our talent. You can't have RJ and Knox watch our team lose games repeatedly as they will never learn how to win.

when it comes to making sense I am not sure you are the voice of reason here.

He's right we should develop Knox. The mercenaries are stop gap players but if they are playing the best they should get minutes. Knox is still getting minutes. Thats the key. Nothing wrong with being handed 15 minutes and asked to earn any more beyond that

5 of the last 6 seasons were used to develop our young guys, especially the last 3 yrs where we have used jan, feb, march and april..

Frank is on his 3rd straight losing campaign, KP was on his 4th, DSJ on his 3rd, mitch going on his 2nd, dotson on his 3rd...

We will need some bodies.

and you want to build around Morris and the like. You're also too damned dumb to realize that the Knicks have to go 34 and 20 or win 62.96% of there games just to finish 41-41, what is what you usually plan for to get the #8 seed. and if you're going to put words in my mouth at least get my stance correct. I want to trade every mediocre UFA we signed in the offseason and I want to trade guys the Knicks developed too like Dotson and Trier. None of these guys are long term pieces and you're friggin delusional if you believe that
