KP is starting to round into form for Mavs and getting better.
Dennis Smith Jr is not even playing. The 2 first round picks we got will not be great.

Yes, Darko will have good games but his shelf-life is questionable and his ability for locker room toxicity is high.
DSJ was untradeable prior to the Porzingis trade. I never expected anything from him and if anything ever was realized so much the better.
The trade was always about cap space (that hasn't gone away and in fact has already realized M. Morris and Gibson - granted, not superstars but solid, functional ball players.
And draft picks are useful, magical trading coin. Tlover don't know what they can realize until its done.

if KP stays relatively healthy (or is at least healthy come post season) the trade is shit for the Knicks. Not only did we get hosed in the exchange of talent but we didnt even get the best deal. Other teams reported they never got a chance to make an offer.
At this point you can only move on and make good moves. The only point in rehashing this is if we are discussion the front office.

I would say this is the problem - the Mavs have just been a better run organization for a long time. They had the assets & vision to nab Dončić, we were only able to pick Kevin Knox.
And this is one of the reasons why people are worried about us needlessly winning 29 games this year- we're still staring at a profound talent gap between our long term players and the rest of the league.

Nobody in the entire media or NBA has label him a diva or spoiled...So every star that request a trade from a poorly run organization is a DIVA..
Clearly no other star wanted to be part of this either..
He requested a trade to 3 or 4 different teams and the knicks didn't even honor his request.
