WTF when the Knicks lost to the depleted wizards you would have though the ceiling fell from the worlds greatest arena. The Heat the 3rd best team in the East lose to the depleted wizards and the sports media flatlines it like it’s nothing oh well....knicks are under attack .

Gotta get dem clicks...let's face it, no one really cared about the Wiz, even at the height of their mediocrity. I think this is one of the few, if any, cases where the hockey team is more popular than the basketball team. And the Heat, well Miami is a notorious front running city. As uncool as the Knicks are, it's funny how other media outlets, players, teams etc. have to keep bringing us up to get any traction. You're right, a Kings loss to the Wizards wouldn't get blown out .01% as much as the Knicks loss did. It is what is...the league could at least hook the team up during the lottery every once in a while. Zion goes to the Pelicans and gets forgotten. Could you imagine the media scrutiny of the Knicks took him?

Im sure the Media in DC is cool with it.
Miami is doing well this year.
NY media could care less if Wiz win.
Teams don't lose all their games. Wiz won't either. Bad teams beat good teams every year. We lose to Wiz at home to basically a gleague roster. It was bad.

this is what is keeping you up at night?

The heat lost to that same g league roster even worse no Bradley Beal ... I get teams lose to bad teams but NYC media has got to take a chill pill on scrutinizing the knicks. I know it sells papers but so will positive story’s. How about Mike Miller’s success man if only he was coach from the beginning we probably would be hovering around 500

The knicks are the biggest travesty in the NBA and maybe in all of sports. Can't think of another major city that has had such a poorly run franchise. That said I still support, there is no where to go but up and being such a prestigious city has to eventually count for something. Durant and Kyrie are bitches and made for each other thinking they can make brooklyn be greater than NEW YORK.

oh maybe that was a rant...bottomline the media needs us so they talk about us.

Every crappy franchise thinks they have it bad. You should have heard how Wizards fans bitched about Grunfield. We root for a NY team, so our distinction is just magnified x20.

And yet the anti-Knick bias is there. Click bait I am sure, but it is there. I acknowledge it, don't like it. Does not keep me up at night, but am tickled when the hypocrisy is made apparent.

I've been saying this for years. The media is part of the reason for our failures. They put pressure on the entire organization from the owner to the players. It takes a special person to run this team....and special players strong enough to fight through adversity. The culture that NYC is expecting out of the players doesnt match today's generation. And the owner and GM/ president usually make knee jerk reactional trades or decisions based on media and headlines. And those headlines feed the knick haters and impatient fans. It takes time to find the right FO and players who can survive in the culture, where losing isnt an option....rebuild is near impossible. Everybody slaps high expectations on the FO, coach and players.
While in miami....I believe the weather and taxes are better. Lower expectations....basketball is just a side sport to the main sport of college football. Meanwhile the mecca of basketball.....has the worst team in the last 20 yrs. A laughing stock. Dolan feeling the heat so I approves or pushes FO into a corner. The media is just a reflection of the Dolan circus. The more pressure they apply, the quicker dolan does something that sets this franchise back. But hey, always been an underdog fan....so I'm here.....while still appreciating the great players that pass through the nba.

Blaming the media when you have the worst run franchise in all of sports is clown behavior.

The "media" reporting, with or without bias, is not the reason James Dolan is a joke. The media didn't throw out Charles Oakley. The media didn't bring in consultants to ruin a team after the one winning season in two decades. The media isn't the reason the Knicks have had 14 coaches in 18 seasons.

Here's a news flash, media exists in 29 other citiee, and they seem to win. And another news flash, I'm not media and I think the Knicks are the biggest joke in all of sports, and I can name every starting lineup since 1982. In fact, the media is too nice to the Knicks and James Dolan.
