The only thing I know about Toppin is that he can dunk spectacularly in transition, and thats a cool name. Like a musician. Im guessing there is more to his game than dunking to be a potential number one pick. Will have to check out some clips

Some folks on the realgm board were saying he’s basically Amar’e Stoudemire reincarnated

Haven’t seen him play at al, does he have Amare athleticism?

He's pretty good...

Him and Kira Lewis with the clips pick would be sweet

I think he is a very well coached, talented kid with a good bball IQ!
He dominates against his peers (under20) but of course still his production is very streaky against EuroLeague talent Level... which is completely normal at his age! Not everybody can be Luka Doncic! ;-)
I like him and would compare his skill set to Danilo Gallinari's.
Dont see the bullish finesse of our ex-italian stallion though yet!

He is good... just not sure if he will be special and/or productive vs NBA athletes! :-/

I'd buy Deni if his shot was there
TPercy @ 3/10/2020 12:11 PM

By his 3rd season Lonzo fixed his broke shot and is now on a tear from 3. Lamelo probably does the same?

Fred Vinson, assistant coach of the Pels, is the one who fixed his shot. Lamelo may need to get with a shooting coach to fix his release point. Also, I noticed Lamelo fades on a lot of his 3's. Thats needs to be corrected.

True, but since it can be corrected, I wonder how he pans out here. An RJ and Lamelo backcourt would work but both are suspect on D, especially Lamelo

He will go top 10-15.

I like that pick of Jay scrubb for pick 34
Scrubb and Pritchard plus a big up top or if not available Halliburton

Poor Jay Scrubb, he faces a career of NBA ridicule

That win tonight sent us from position 4 to position 7

And likely is the last game of the season. Typical Knicks 7th pick seems to have our name on it.

Is tanking even worth it the way the draft is formulated now. Also there is no one really worth the sacrifice of tanking for this draft.

Also feel Knicks will get their choice of the top PG available regardless since majority of the teams in the top end of the lotto have PGs of the future.

This tweet helps explain it:

But all this virus stuff has me not giving a s*** about something so trivial

I get it, but at the same time Barrett dropped 26-5-4-2, Mitch dropped 16-6-2, Frank & Knox combined for 20. 62 combined pts amoung the youngins. That is all nessesary as well.

And there is no Zion in this draft worth tanking for. Our needs at PG aren't shared by majority of these other lotto teams around us other than Detroit, but Detroit needs pretty much everything but PF.

Last season both New Orleans and Memphis had a 6% chance to land the #1 pick to our 14% chance. New Orleans and Memphis had the 7th and 8th best odds to win the lottery last yr.

Not only is there no Zion (possible transcendent player)but it seems there is no separation even amongst position groups (there is no best PG, best SG, best SF, etc...). Every prospect has flaws. This draft has me scared because it is really going to depend heavily on scouting not basketball talent and picking the players with the right mentality.
