I’ll get more into the draft when I know they are actually having a draft

I think the draft is a guarantee. All they have to do is draft the way the NFL did it. I think this coming season is what’s really in question.

Karin Mane staying in the draft is really interesting. If he is there at 27 we should definitely draft him and run.

From now on I'm assuming we end up with the 7th or 8th pick, so Wiseman, Deni, Ball, Edwards, Hayes will be gone.

Assuming Thibs is coach, and assuming he wants a scoring PG, who's better out of Cole and Maxey? (take defense and upside into account!)

I'd take Cole because he seems more capable of doing "point guard" thing. Maxey shooting also make Cole look like Steph Curry.

Ha! Could have just been a fluke bad shooting year (plus look at Donovan Mitchell’s college numbers)

Cole Anthony is the wildcard in this draft. He has enough talent to be a top 5 pick. Fair or unfair, his uneven season at UNC really hurt his stock. The lack talent around him wasn't his fault and he was probably asked to do more for his team than any of the other top 10 prospects.

The obvious knocks on his game is his lack of vision and poor shot selection. When I would watch him go to the basket, most of the time his mind seemed to be made up and he was shooting it regardless, leaving no options open for a drop off or a kick if the rotation came over. He's a good passer, better than his numbers say, but he's not an elite passer in the class of Ball and Halilburton.

His strengths are the opposite of Haliburton. Anthony is great in iso and with the ball in his hands at the end of the shot clock, he will get off a good shot. Anthony is also a better shooter than his numbers suggest. He's much better as a catch and shoot 3 pt shooter than he is off the dribble which means he can play off the ball some.

Big time scoring lead guard. Should be there for our 2nd round pick....

Anyone good at this stuff -- what is our percentile probability of landing top 3?

I'm still haunted by the draft where we picked Weis instead of Artest because we had no proper GM in place

They said they questioned Ron's heart after he backed out of a workout with Marion. I suspect they did a background check and thought Ron's "issues" would be exacerbated if he stayed home.

They may have been right. Although the Weiss pick is a scar that never fully heals....

Basically, we have the best odds to land the 7th pick (29.8) or the 8th pick (20.6). Only 9% chance to land in the top 4.

We need some luck again. Also it’s 37% chance we move to top four. Only a 9% chance we land the top 1%

I just want to be in position to choose between Hayes and Haliburton

I guess the only probability in our favor is we're effin due!

Unfortunately that's what's known as the 'gamblers fallacy'- odds don't remember what happened the previous time, past bad (or good) luck has no impact whatsoever- our hardship has been for nothing!

Nalod @ 7/22/2020 7:25 AM
And the odds reset every year.

Cole Anthony just gives me Austin rivers vibes to his game

Such a high risk/high reward player. He could range from the next Jamal Murray to the next Rivers.

Man, next year is supposed to be a deep draft and the Knicks will have 4 picks, their own and Dallas' first rounders and then Detroit and Charlotte 2nd round picks and hopefully they are high

Did you just say you wished Luka an injury plagued season next year? A suspended work visa?
