Doubt he drops that far. But if this continues, we need to look into trading up...

No, it's something he'll have to overcome. The recent numbers for lotto picks over 22 aren't the best. I don't think it will be an issue for Obi though.
We draft 19 year olds and then whine about their development. I'm ok drafting someone a little bit older, a little more polished.
I think the reason Obi will be OK, at least offensively, is that he's not a finished product. He's a late bloomer who grew several inches in prep school and college.

It could be to his advantage here. He'll probably get off to a better start than our recent picks. You know how patient and supportive fans and media are with our rookies who struggle.

With a pre-existing relationship in place between Toppin and newly appointed president Leon Rose, the Knicks had targeted the explosive Dayton product from an early stage, even exploring trade opportunities to move up and select him.Toppin, the best player in college basketball last year and arguably the most exciting, will bring a huge amount of enthusiasm to fans in Madison Square Garden. The Knicks get a readymade player who won't need much time to translate his productivity from college to the NBA. Toppin, a late bloomer who was an afterthought in high school recruiting circles, has more upside than your typical 22-year-old, but will battle the stigma of older top picks failing in recent years. -- Jonathan Givony
Not that it matters much, but did we do that Utah trade for nothing?

Depends on who we get at 23. We might still get our second guy just because we made that trade.

Ok..hoping Maxey falls to us

I would be thrilled with Saddiq Bey. He would fit perfectly.
Will RJ Hampton be there at 23?
Houston is trading Trevor Ariza and the No. 16 pick in Wednesday night's draft to Detroit for a future first-round pick, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Get on the fucking phone Leon....

Fair point-it's tough having to wait for players to develop, sometimes...Hoping his D is acceptable.
From Bleacher Report on his D, though I assume Thibs signed on to drafting him, and we know defense is important for him.
He might need major numbers to keep his head above water, though, because he's covered in question marks at the defensive end. He can be a nightmare in pick-and-roll coverage, lacking both the mobility to keep in front of perimeter players and the strength to handle overpowered players in the post.

Doubt it. And now Cole's gone.
Cole Anthony #15 to the Magic

They might still be looking at trading Ball. They have Hill and Bledsoe to mentor Kira.

This means they just lost all faith in Ball. Not good.

Or Tyrell Terry or Malachi Flynn or Tre Jones or Theo Maledon for PGs
So Min trades #17 for Rubio, #25 and #28
