Thanks for the info, but even Dolan is crazy enough to fire him days before the deadline, so I don't think it's that at all, unfortunately

Smackeddog, you fool! Note to self: Never doubt NBK and never doubt Dolan's stupidity regarding timing!

With mills track record and what ever idiotic move he was trying to pull, Steve probably sat next to Perry with Dolan looking at them and proposed a trade to bring back THJR, Perry was like “I don’t know what kind Of kool aid Steve’s drinking but that moves on him” Dolan and Perry burst out in laughter and Dolan says Steve “I love you man, but your fired! here’s the contact to my personal therapist, I think you need it”

This doesn't hurt our trade leverage in the coming days... if anything it helps it... if you thought you had a deal with Mills think again.

The report actually walked! He was actually informed on Sunday.

And this "report" has less legs then that BS Randle report. Need more to go on before I start having vivid dreams of Masai orchestrating prudent trades for us at the deadline.

Sorry I doubted you...you have better sources than Isola! I learned my lesson and will make steps to ensure it never happens again hahaha

Lol. Mills probably was trying to save his job with some shortsighted trade and even Dolan finally said enough is enough.

Pellscup @ 2/5/2020 4:19 AM
what's he got to be upset about, he was basically terrible for almost two decades with the team... next best thing to Dolan selling the team.
smackeddog @ 2/28/2020 12:45 PM
Before Mills was let go as team president, the Knicks, per sources, had a package that they felt Golden State liked in exchange for D'Angelo Russell. It's unclear if Knox was included in that package.

But teams generally had the feeling that Knox was not going to be moved unless it was for a young star, sources say. So that gives you some indication of how the club values Knox.

https://www.sny.tv/knicks/news/sources-k...

So, it seems like Mills grand final vision to save his backside was:

Trade Knox, Frank etc and picks for D-Lo
Trade for Drummond
Keep Morris.

So our lineup would have been:

C- Drummond
PF- Randle
SF- Morris
SG- RJ
PG- D-Lo

We would have also lost picks, our cap flexibility and most of the young guys, so we would have been locked into that monstrosity for years

Awful

Nalod @ 2/28/2020 1:07 PM
Wonder what the trade for drummond would have been. Interesting that knox is still the third youngest in the league. Interesting if the team will still value him going forward.

We going off an article about his age ranking. I guess if he is 5th youngest he is bust? LOL. Where is the line, when you cross over from 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th?
What struck me was he in his second year and still so young.

You didn't write article. Knox was always a very risky pick. He had a very low floor. I feel bad he ended up a Knick. A stable organazation might of turned him into a star. I have seen some posters advocating for Obi Toppin in the draft. Maybe older players are a better way to go. I have zero confidence we can develop a player Knox.

I’m no expert but We has seen him shoot. I have read some stuff that suggests his drives are far more effiecent which shows strength. His defense is improving. things that are hard to see. Its not a “faith” that convinces me, its just a hope.
words from Coach Cal or his father won’t do it. It will happen or it won’t.
