This makes me mad because deandre jordan made 22 million last year don't complain about practice facility when you are making that much money.

Nets' DeAndre Jordan on Knicks' practice facility: 'The rent must be cheap out there'
Jordan played 19 games for the Knicks during the 2018-19 season
By Colin Martin | Feb 13 | 5:00PM

DeAndre Jordan's tenure with the Knicks was short-lived, as the big man played only 19 games with the team during the 2018-19 season after being acquired in the Kristaps Porzingis trade with the Dallas Mavericks.

Jordan elected to sign with the Brooklyn Nets over the summer, joining stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

On Thursday, Jordan joined CC Sabathia and Ryan Ruocco's R2C2 podcast and discussed everything from signing with the Nets to the commute players have to take to get to the Knicks' practice facility.

"Westchester, that's a hike," Jordan said. "The rent must be cheap out there. There were times I would go to practice and I'd be like I know I could get in a good 40 min nap... it's a journey to say the least."

The Knicks' practice facility is located in Westchester County, New York -- about an hour from Madison Square Garden.

Jordan recalls Jared Dudley, who played for the Nets last season, selling him on Brooklyn:

"Y'all should go to Brooklyn. Man the staff, the medical staff is great. They're going to be great with KD. World class organization. Practice site."

Dudley has previously talked about his conversations with Jordan and the Nets, mentioning the commute Knicks players have to take.

"I told him all the good, it's 95 percent good over there," Dudley said. "It's one of the best practice facilities in the league. You can live in the city, because most players want to live in New York City and go there, they don't have to drive an hour to Westchester, to the Knicks practice facility."

Jordan seems to be enjoying his decision to sign with the Nets, as he's averaging 8.1 points and 9.9 rebounds in 21.3 minutes per game.

What other team does the media get obsessed with about the location of their practice facility?

Some these players are just stupid and complain about the dumbest things. If i was making the money some these players are making i not going to complain where the practice facility is . Some of these players don't know how good they have it for example look at kobe he took a helicopter to work because he was 1 hour away from the practice facility.

Collecting his Durant royalty checks

Most Knicks news is non news for other teams. Only the Knicks brand consultant is getting interviews. If Stoute got hired anywhere else no one would care.

Funny, I bought this up a few years ago when some of you were talking about nets being insignificant. No, I never thought we'd get passed up by Durant as we did not did I prophesize.
I did mentioned Nets for players were more of a NYC thing because of the Westchester facility and players spend only 41 home dates and sometimes they go right on a road trip after a game.
Thus, they are not spending much time in the city as one thinks. Maybe for family guys having a big estate in Westchester was cool but most dont' spend all year here.
The nets thing is just across the bridge from manhatten. Knicks should do a facility either in the Garden or nearby. After Kobe's crash I don't think the Helicopter thing will be cool.

Uh, doesn't everybody in New York take like an hr to get to work? Go live in a hicktown small market if you don't like the subway.
GT2AM @ 2/14/2020 1:54 PM
whatever, Farrari. Can't the guy pay for a driver and take his nap in the backseat? He says the Knicks are cheap.

Yeah, a one hour commute to work is nothing, think most of us have done more than that without crying

Yeah, I would think he would consider it a plus.

Sounds like Jordan will only drive... yikes. Also, I remember Landry Fields and Jeremy Lin loving living in Westchester and commuting into NYC for gameday

That comment would have made news even if it was a high school coach.

you don't go on record talking about firing a coach with half a season left, and to do it on ESPN.that was crazy wack

He's saying it to ESPN... but who said it to Steve Stoute? Someone told him they were going after a big name coach.

Young guys don’t want to live in Rye, Harrison or Westchester.

The Knicks are out of touch and have been for a very long time. I don’t see a problem with anyone bringing up the obvious. Who cares how much money anyone makes, no one enjoys traffic and commuting.

NYC has high taxes, tremendous scrutiny and Jim Dolan. And let’s be honest, the Knicks track record and standing as a franchise isn’t a selling point. If you can play and live in BK or commute every single day without all the pressures of playing for the Knicks the choice is clear.

I don't enjoy traffic either but if i am making 20 million dollars i could care lot less about traffic then.

The guy is also on the way to play a Game. He's not really going to work. Hes going to the court to play 5 on 5. Everyday.

shinmen @ 2/15/2020 5:06 AM
How many pratices do they get a year? Between the road games and the home games, 50 at most. The guy complains about 50 commutes in a full year driving a very comfortable car. He should just keep his mouth shut, this is disrepectful to people who work for a living.
