Great coach. Knicks should go after him but won't because we want to get in a bidding war for mark jackson instead

Wow, hard knicks life podcast said months ago that he had insider info that the nets gm and Atkinson had serious beef with each other and the gm wanted shot of him Last season but couldn’t because of their success. Looks like they were right!
I love Mike Miller but this is a no brainer.
So the nets build such an amazing culture and had such an amazing coach, yet after one season they’ve canned their coach and traded most of the players

Exactly

+1. Does anyone else feel like we dodged a bullet with KD and Kyrie?

Kenny and his staff also extended contracts just a year ago with Nets
I’m glad three scoops this year have come from alternative fan media this season- Jonathon macri/knicks film school with Rose’s hiring date, Nothin But Knicks with Mills firing, and hard Knicks life with the Atkinson/gm beef
They went to the nets because Kyrie knew he’d get a fraction of the media scrutiny, that was it.
Wonder if Hahn knows something or is just projecting
Edit: Reddit board seems to think Hahn is good friends with Atkinson

This ^^^
Makes no sense what they did to the team. They were entertaining to watch and bought into what Atkinson was trying to do heart and soul.
Strange.

Yes. Does Kleinman have a voice with ownership there? Some speculation that he want MJax to be their next coach.

Yikes! So are they just going to try and do whatever we planned to do from now on?
What is kenny Atkinson like as a coach, is he overrated because the media like him, or is he legit? He’s aged rapidly since he joined the nets, he looks 10 years older!
No speculation. He is a super fan of Jax. Goes back years. I don’t know what marks beef is with Kenny, why he wanted him gone, then extends.....And in Typical Nalodian fashion I remind everyone to not discount the owner. This fool hires and then changes his mind.
Here is my take and its just me thinking.........Owner promised moon to KyRant. Let’s go back to China trip when season has not started and Kyrie was already making waves. Go read (think for yourselves fans) Atkinson’s strangely worded response to Kyries antics then. MY take is Coach before season starts has to suck up to this fool. Kenny busts his ass eating shit with awful roster for 3 years, gets the team in the playoffs and then owner starphuchs the roster and now coach has to suck it up. Tsai blew a long of cash on this team, revenue is not what he might have thought, no China revenue because of tariffs/Morey ref. Thats my guess. Then owner wants a Champsionship type Tyrone Lue type for next year. Phuch Berman with his regurgitative Thibs-JVG-KleinmanJax crap. Its old. Kenny might have the line on knicks job via what ever contacts and decides to walk away as this likely has been brewing.
Before I go endorsing his hire I’d want to know as a fan what the beef was. Also, what was the issue with Marks. Again, its the owner that sets the agenda and its for Marks to manage it and OWN it. If Marks walks you might have the answer.
Tsai fired him? That true it might be telling. New owners make mistakes. Remember Marks only takes the job providing owner gives him time and space to rebuild it.
Dolan might be having his best day in while. Time for media to look at Tsai.
Is it possible to tie in a Spike Lee angle to this regarding the timing and whatnot?

Oldboy 2: A coach is suddenly released after having to spend a little more than half a season in isolation with Kyre Irving. After months of being forced to accept unfiltered flat earth doctrine, this coach emerges with one goal: to regain his sanity away from the lala land called the Nets locker room and to cash in on as much Dinwiddie coin as possible before the value crashes.
A lot of quiet Kyrie bashing from credible guys. Arnowitz on Lowe’s podcast said he used to believe a strong culture could absorb any player but Boston couldn’t absorb Kyrie.
Iguess Kevin O’Conner deleted this tweet but it’s out there.
Seems like we're at a real crossroads - we could double down on rebuilding via the draft, hire Atkinson and the raptors gm, or we could trade for cp3, sign melo and sign a different kind of coach than Atkinson. I'd love the former, but suspect the latter
