Convinced DeSantis does not care. Here is the governor of a highly elderly population. You would think he would be more concerned. Almost like he feels the elderly are no longer important. Nor the one with asthma or other compromised conditions.

Some politicians like him are such sociopaths, they would only be spurned into action if their poll ratings plummeted rather than the death ratings rising. His numbers are falling, but not by enough yet

I know people who think he is awesome. They are wrong, clearly but I am telling you this. He could very well become our next president. People LOVE him.

DeSantis absolutely cares. His actions either directly or indirectly line his pockets, and excite his voting base. He’s very passionate about these things.

Doesn’t seem like it.
This all gets convoluted into “patriotism”. This is what the clowns who stormed he capital thought. It bought meaning to their empty debt filled Obese lifestyle induced diabetic lives.
all the while the great legacy we call “democracy” is dying because we can’t handle the truth. The Lone Ranger wasn’t shit without Tonto. The Confederate Rebels fought to protect the profits of the elite. The Revolutionary war was a hostile land grab from the owners who were going to declare slavery illegal in its colonies. The Redcoats who defended the King were lead by wealthy generals and captains whose families had a stake in the profits of the monarch..
Money matters.
Shitheads blame Biden for the 13 soldiers recently killed but disregard the 20 years and losses by both Democrat and Rebublican presidents. Isn’t it better to not have these wars? Texas defies the constitution and the political based supreme court fucks up.
Obama upheld it. Trump abused it for his own gain.
Democracy is dying. The supreme court upheld many things we don’t like but they messed up last week. We try, but eventually we get it right. Won’t be in our lifetimes. Our inherent selfishness won’t let the constitution, the greatest document ever created fulfill its potential.
You can bank on the fact that, like Cuomo, DeSantis has found some ways to manipulate the statistics, whether it be the number of people who test positive for it, or the death count.
He is another politician, like FormerGuy, with no shame to keep him from pushing a Big Lie.
The most common thing I kept hearing from them was collapsed lungs. It made me research exactly what is a collapsed lung. It turns out a collapsed lung is when air gets trapped in your chest cavity and the pressure stops your lung from being able to continue breathing. This means that their lungs are so badly damaged it is continually leaking air into their chest cavity. No wonder the percentage of people who get intubated who eventually survive is so low.
Clean wrote:After reading all these stories of unvaxxed people getting and eventually dying of COVID. I have noticed some things that are common among all of them. One is that once you get to the stage where you need to be intubated chances are highly likely you are just buying time until you eventually die. Even a day before they ultimately pass away they have time where things seem like they are improving. Then all of a sudden things go down hill fast. The most common thing I kept hearing from them was collapsed lungs. It made me research exactly what is a collapsed lung. And when intubated oxygen levels are often lower to start damaging other organs.

I don’t feel great but on the other hand not bad at all to be honest. A little worried. I was susceptible through my kids and that is likely what happened as my son has it. I’ll keep any updates here but frankly I feel that the vaccine will and has done a good job for me so far.
Without great detail, is your son living in your house? School age? Vaxxed. Not judging, just demographics.
That yoru vaxxed and too symptomatic is GREAT! Keep it up! Hope thats all it is. The numbers down south of vaxxed vs. not is intense regarding ICU patients and deaths.
I hate the Vax BTW. But its the lessor of two evils by far.
Do lung exercise to keep them clean and working. Good luck!
Briggs, how you feeling? You doing ok? How is your son? You keep that shyt out of your lungs??

Nalod, why do you hate the Vax?
Hate might be strong. Im going totally without scientific proof. Im seeing people in my world dying at a faster rate. My mom, her friends, My friends parents. Just all dropping like flies. They vaxxed.
Not from the vax mind you. Could be elderly post isolation and depression from lock down. Im not trying to promote any conspiracy. Im not an anti vax kinda of guy.
I get it, its the lessor of two evils PERHAPS, but its still an evil. Could be aggregate of many things. People are depressed from climate change, natural disasters, democracy under fire, rage against everything the media presents, etc etc.
So I apologize for my rant. Wish Briggs would follow up.

It's age, Nalod- Same here, my mom's friends are dropping like flies, aunts, uncles, family friends, etc, but it's because their in their 70s- really sad part of life, it's nothing to do with the vaccine.

Your not hearing me, Im not saying its just the vax. Its the aggregate that includes it. I rolled up my sleeve as soon as I could. My Dr Friends who were in on the early trials themselves were fine with it. They understood and did not need to do internet “research”.

I get you, Nalod. My wife's several nurse friends were all anti-vaxxers, for various reasons, but all got vaxxed anyway. The thought of getting injected with something that's got RNA-adjusting components in it is a bit out there, at least to my extremely limited pharma/medical mind. And I still got the Moderna shot as soon as we found a site that had it available. Hundreds of thousands dying was enough of the facts to convince me it wasn't just a construct of Uncle Obama's Socialist Goals to Control the Stupid Fat Diabetic Citizenry Through Larger Government. That, and the fact that most of my wife's family are in their '80's and at the severe far end of the susceptibility scale.
Funny, a lot of what seems like the "shitheads" you've mentioned previously that I come in contact with are military or ex-military folks. They do seem to view the whole covid thing as some grand scheme linked to the Marxist/Socialist elite power structure. But there always be plenty of fringe wingnuts on both sides of the aisle.
I still find it interesting that on the heels of the last pandemic over a hundred years ago, there was an economic boom. If that's what happens here again, I don't think you can totally blame some "shitheads" for wondering if the powers that be thought it might be nice to "thin the herd".

Seems like you meant to use the word Pandemic (and everything it brought about) and somehow landed on the word Vax

“DeathSentis” if continues to gain momentum will draw the ire of Trump. Both are tapping into the low end of the GOP. Abortion is the political tool they like to use. Its being played. The Pandemic became the issue in Cali and this is where things get interesting. While Dems cannot solve the country’s ill’s the GOP has no tangable offering other than fear.
IF the elections were truly rigged how did Hilary lose the electoral college for Trump to gain the white house? They only call “foul” when it does not go their way. Two time in 16 years in our history popular vote goes the way of one and the electoral college the other. Both times the loser puts the country before the officee. Trump still won’t shut the fuck up about losing an election. He demonstrated no empathy to the the effeccts of the Pandemic or anything else except his own agenda. True Sociopath tendancy. Desantis and others know the templete to success and are smarter then Trump. My dog is smarter than Trump.

The scary thing is Republicans have a LOT of candidates that suck but they universally love. Trump, his kids, DeSantis, Hawley 🤮. Who do democrats have that they all agree on? Oh boy.
