Make sure to watch Mandalorian AFTER the movies.

Already did. Watched them all in order, loved the orginals, the prequals were...okay haha( Revenge of the Sith might be my favorite). Hated the sequels. TFW was okay but it went downhil from there. Really enjoying the Mandalorian though and I'm excited for their new rumored series as well.

There's also a clone wars connection as well. Never got into the one, but I might after Mando season 2 finishes.

Yeah. I am thinking of re-watching clone wars. I want to see them. And it’s Disney. Mando is totally jam packed with Easter eggs.

Just started the Clone Wars as well. Never been a fan of animation but its slowly starting to grow on me.

It gets way better after the first 2 seasons (I hate season 1 and season 2 is very corny!)

If you like it all, do give Deep Space Nine a try, it's my favorite, has aged the best, and has an ongoing story arc (takes a few seasons to get going), is a bit darker and better character development.

When you see the ep 'the icarus factor', you'll understand why Riker is so f'd up, lol
Just finished watching Icarus factor. Yup.
I am on Season 5 Episode 12. A lot of Data episodes which I like a lot. My favorite character is Data, Picard then Worf. I know everybody likes Troi but I think Dr. Crusher is one hot mama.

They hired some very good writers for this show. The amount of made up science jargon used is amazing.

I like Troi because I am also a counselor, so like that people with my profession get to sit up front next to the captain on the bridge of the ship in the future- not so sure about the kind of outfit I'd have to wear though!

The show definitely moved to focusing on Data and Picard after a few seasons (I liked Worf too). Really didn't like how they portrayed data in the movies, but he was great in the TV show.

Remember you have the new Picard show when you've finished TNG- it's great so far (I've only just started watching it).

I feel kind of sad watching TNG now- at the time it felt like the future we might be heading towards (in terms of attitudes), but nowadays it feels like we're heading in completely the opposite direction. In fact I doubt TNG would even have any success nowadays- it's amazing how well it did considering it's focus on sciences, a lot of eps were essentially morality plays, there wasn't much violence, and the focus was on dialogue, understanding and diplomatic solutions rather than killing.

The last ep of TNG was one of my favourite series ending too

A lot of really good episodes. I just finished watching "The Inner Light". Wow. This has to be the best TV episode I have ever seen. That damn flute got me at the end.
Terrible aging makeup, but really great episode- one of my favorites. If you found that moving, wait until you see "the Visitor" ep in Deep Space 9

I finished TNG. Loved it. I also finished watching the 4 movies. Data with that epic line against the borg was awesome.

Started DS9. Thank you for recommending this. Great episodes. I am on the 2nd season now. Great episodes.

Jadzia Dax is beautiful. 😋

Ha, she is- I used to admire her beauty every episode when it first aired! People used to complain she wasn’t a great actor or didn’t have a handle on her character, but I honestly never noticed!

I am on S3E10 now. Wow. I love the new bad guys with the Dominion. Gul Dukat is also a complicated dude.

I didn't notice anything wrong with Jadzia Dax either.

In regards with Commander Sisko... I was like..."I know this dude". Then it dawned on me.... It's Hawk! From "Spenser for Hire". He is a different commander/captain. He is my favorite character in DS9.

I wasn't too impressed with Sisko at first, back when it first aired, but when he changed his look later in the show and they developed his character more, I thought he was great. Apparently the racist studio bosses insisted he look like a 'safe' middle aged dad and so the actor wasn't allowed to have his usual look of shaved head and beard. Ridiculous. But then that was around the same time as when the creators of Homicide: Life on the Streets were getting notes from the studio bosses complaining if they had 2 or 3 black actors in a scene together with no white characters- they'd send notes saying there needs to be a white character in the scene. Sheesh. Also the female actors throughout Star Trek had to put up with horrid sexist stuff from some of the producers, like being told they look bad for having gained weight, and comments/instructions about their chests etc etc. creepy stuff.

I liked all the cardassian characters, they always seemed to be great actors- Garak was a great one too!

Can't wait until you get to season 4- let me know when you do!

I am on Season 4 now. The 1st 2 episodes were awesome. Adding the Klingons into the frey is brilliant. Worf!

You were right about "Visitor". The only thing is my allergies started acting up.

I am on "Little Green Men" right now. Rom is a genius. Who knew?

I am now on S7 E14. Not too happy about what happened to Jadzia Dax. I am really liking DS9. Maybe my favorite Star Trek series right now. I also like Garak. I can't wait to see how they are going to finish of Dukat. Dude needs to die a gruesome death.

Benny Russell I thought was a great very meta and very well done. Sisko is equal to Picard in my pov. Can't wait to finish DS9 then start Voyager."Job Scheduler Level 2"

Apologies, I somehow missed your season 4 post! I loved the changes in season 4- Worf plus Sisco’s new look somehow made him even better! I watched the Visitor again after my dad died- it was an even harder watch! Really captured something moving about dad-son relationships and loss, love that episode even if it is difficult to watch.
suspension of disbelief,
You got to s7 fast- yeah, I hated what they did to Dax, the producers were a**holes to the actress as she wanted to cut back her workload so she could do films, so they essentially fired her instead. DS9 is my favorite trek too- just all the character development of the main cast, all the zillions of semi regular characters, some great acting and a long story where episodes have consequences. It’s aged really well too. Let me know what you think of the ending.

I agree, I didn’t like Sisko at first, but now I think he’s equal to Picard- very different character, but great.

Another blasphemosity! Janeway was better than Sisquo IMO. Not a knock on the actor, but the writing. Dont believe they gave him enough to work with. Looking forward to the next season of "Discovery", hopefully with a lot less crying!

Starting voyager soon. Let's see how Janeway stacks up with Picard and Sisko.

Hope you like the show. Some of the plots are recycled from TNG, the original series. TNG did the same thing. But enough of it is new to be entertaining.

Not a big deal now, but casting an African American as a Vulcan, was controversial in the
1990s. Tim Russ does a great job. Seven of Nine needs no introdution, lol. Jeri Ryan said its the fact her character has no idea how hot she is that makes the part fun.

What I like about Janeway is her intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm.

Really enjoying Voyager. Loved the string of episodes in season 2 from Meld to the season 2 finale.

Just finished Distant Origin. I love the whole premise. Really need to use suspension of disbelief but other than that it was brilliant.

Really liking Janeway as well. She is not there for me yet in the rankings but she is very close to Picard and Sisko.

Glad you're enjoying it. There are some guests from other Star Treks. Wont say when, honestly dont remember. John Savage guest stars in a two parter thats really good as well.

OK. Seven of Nine just jumped into my favorite Star Trek Character. Her complexity and her progression is really nice to see. Also...god damn she is hot. That suit is awesome and the way she fills it is just...wow.

Janeway is great but I think she is still peg below Picard and Sisko. Chakotay is underrated.

I am season 5 now.

You might change your mind in the last couple of seasons. I liked the ending. One big reason why I put Janeway over Sisko, is how they were tested. Voyager was far from any assistance, had to figure things out with a makeshift crew. The conditions were more challenging.

If they had reversed their roles, would feel the same way. Glad you're enjoying it. Its too bad they said there wont be a blu ray version because of the way it was originally filmed. Hopefully they will develop aoftware to allow this in the future.

Didn't see it coming. They revealed each detail little by little and I was still like "Nah, no way they go there" hahaha and then the final scene post credit scene to top it off. Mando, Rogue One and
The Force Awakens are the only Disney Star Wars productions I officially recognize.

Janeway had it tougher than Sisko?! No way- Sisko had the the Cardassians, Marquis, Klingons, The Vorta, the shapeshifters, the Jem Harda, the Green, the Par-wrathes, Bajoran politics and the Dominion war to deal with, as well as starfleet infiltration and he only had a run down space station in the middle of nowhere to deal with it- whatever problems Janeway had to deal with, she brought on herself with her foolish decision in the first episode (She should have left the occampa to perish!). Plus she had a magic ship that could recover from any damage in between episodes and regenerate shuttles at will.

Cisquo: Star Fleet? Please send a couple of Starships, and a large pepperoni Pizza?
Star Fleet: Got it dude, see you at the kegger!

Again, one ship, half a crew 50k light years from home. No reinforcements.

Janeway had to deal with the politics of worlds unknown to the federation. And almost always outnumbered.

The Jem Harda? Those juicers? Needed a feeding tube full of speed to walk. Meh.

Species 8472 made the Borg crap in their colllective pants. Lots of other unfamiliar enemies who were also deadly, and unknown to the crew. On a ship not built for extended travel.

DS9 was more like "Casablanca in Space". The shapeshifter changed shapes when things got dangerous. Barely ever shapeshifted. Wasnt bad, just not facing new, unknown dangers, at every turn.

The Expanse...$#!t just got real. Only watched the first four episodes, but I'm gonna go out on a whim and say it's better than season 4...maybe even season 2, which I consider the best season.

RIP John ‘Ecstasy’ Fletcher. Part of the legendary Hip-Hop duo "Whodini". Part of the soundtrack of my high school years. Sorry he passed so soon.

It gets way better after the first 2 seasons (I hate season 1 and season 2 is very corny!)

If you like it all, do give Deep Space Nine a try, it's my favorite, has aged the best, and has an ongoing story arc (takes a few seasons to get going), is a bit darker and better character development.

I'm on the middle of the 2nd season. Riker is weirding me out. The way he walks and stands. What the heck is that lean?

Seven of Nine really is my favorite Star Trek character now. Jumped over worf and Data. Not just the way she looks but her complexity and relationship with other members of voyager was interesting. Her relationship with Chakotay was botched big time. They missed out not following up after "Humar Error" then tried to force it in "Endgame". Weird.

Now with Janeway, I see what you mean. Her decision to go back was very understandable to me and believable. Her crew suffering was too much. Then when she basically agreed to commit suicide to save them was heroic. I don't know if I would go so far as ranking her the same as sisko and picard but she is in the vicinity. A very close vicinity.

I am watching Picard now. Holy shit. Some good stuff here.

I also started Enterprise. It's not getting any love but I like Bakula. The vulcan eye candy is pretty hot too 😃

I liked Picard- felt like it really helped repair some of the damage form how TNG ended with the Nemesis movie. Could have been better, but I did enjoy it- think you'll like some of the developments in it!

I hated Enterprise so much! It just felt like a real step back and pretty reactionary in it's politics- it was made during the George W Bush era, and seemed to embrace a lot of his crap for a while (nearly every single tv series of that era seemed to promote torture as necessary and okay, because the US had started doing it overtly following 9/11- it was creepy)- for me, that really went against what start trek was about (remember that great anti-torture TNG ep with Picard being tortured by the Cardassian?). It tried to redeem itself later on, but it was too late by then. It annoyed me that the few non-white characters were ignored to the point they were essentially just background characters. It felt like they had no creative juices left, but tried milking it for more money. Really took an ailing franchise and crashed it into the rocks- we didn't get any more start trek in tv or movie form for a long, long time. I tried re-watching it a few years ago, but fell asleep midway through nearly every episode, ha!

I finished Voyager. Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well.

Glad you enjoyed it. Have to agree to disagree on "Janeway" lol. Fun discussion. Thought she doesnt get enough respect, when it comes to all time great captains.

I really enjoyed Picard, got better as it went along. Not what I expected. Like to hear what you think of the ending, considering your recent comments. Too bad its supposed to be a limited run.

Was psyched to hear they're bringing back "Janeway" in the next season of "Discovery". Glad they're keeping the character going.

Wasnt really into "Enterprise". Mostly about the writing.

This movie took some time to grow on me. A remake that took from other films as well. But if you can get by that, snd casting a Yank as leader of a Brit empire, its a lot of fun.

The CGI in this film required a few years for the tech to advance enough to really appreciate the detail that went into it.

They dont have a 4k release yet, but this bluray was mastered in 4k, and the detail in the background becomes more pronounced. Sold out right now, but they go on sale periodically. Stream it, if that version is available.

If you like it all, do give Deep Space Nine a try, it's my favorite, has aged the best, and has an ongoing story arc (takes a few seasons to get going), is a bit darker and better character development.

Just finished Picard. Ok. Data just jumped back into my favorite Star Trek character. He had very little screen time but like picard said... That was very data thing.

So for me it's data then seven then worf.

Seven still hot as fuck. She needs a spin-off.

Picard is the best captain. Until they get sisko back in tv.

I want to see the Janeway spinoff as well.

I really enjoyed picard. That damn last episode pulled on my heart strings. Specially with elnor.

The ending was telegraphed but it still gave me the feels.

Plus she had a magic ship that could recover from any damage in between episodes and regenerate shuttles at will.

I finished Voyager. Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well.

Ha, I thought you'd be pleasantly surprised at Seven of Nine appearing in Picard. I was glad they did the Data stuff, really helped salvage the mess they made with the ending of Nemesis and that whole B4 thing.

Gotta tell you though, the Icheb and Hugh scenes were heart breaking as well. I can see where a lot of Trekkies were complaining about certain aspects of Picard. It seems to adapt the style of the Kelvin Timeline in that it was more gruesome and violent. However, I think it was needed. You needed it to move the characters into the journey they are about to embark. This is true for both Seven and Picard. I also like the Rios character and his 5 holos.
