I grew up a huge OAK fan and always loved spikes movies but a A$$ is a A$$ man and these two are A$$holes and give the NBA a bad name . Both should write written apologies for there actions not just to Dolan and MSG but to the NBA in General.
Spree was my favorite Knick, but what Dolan pulled after having Oakley thrown out of the Garden parading every former Knick out the following game was downright embarrassing. Spree after years of being banished suddenly is sitting next to Dolan. Completely used as a pawn.
Oakley may have lost his mind, I don’t love him saying stuff about Ewing, but to be thrown out of a building you bleed on the floor for 10 years from and have the owner and tee issue statements about his well being was classless.
Let’s stop for a moment and remember, Dolan fires employees, high level executives and treats some Knicks legends one way and then goes out of his way to protect and praise someone like Isiah Thomas that embarrassed the franchise.

Oakley byching his teammates out is worse than what Dolan did. Sitting next to Dolan was their own personal call. They weren’t calling Oakley out— but he certainly did to them. That’s disloyalty amongst peers- the worst kind

You have some good points, but I was always taught "it's not what you say it's how you say it" the matters the most, not to mentioned the timing of the comments

What is Spike Lee doing at the NBA draft sitting with owners and players representing your franchise if he’s not considered a part of the Knicks family? Why didn’t you give Ewing an assistant coaching job?
If your Oakley and you see the love Dolan gives Vin Baker or after Isiah Thomas, it’s puzzling. Isiah ran the Knicks into the ground and cost the team serious capital in public opinion and over $20MM in settlements and he got another position in the organization.
There is a reason why teams like the Lakers, Spurs, etc keep deep ties with former players. It’s why certain college teams remain elite.
Oakley should have kept his mouth shut regarding Ewing, but a certain point you don’t need a PR team to understand, be the bigger person, sit down with the guy, give him a night at the garden repair the damage you did around the league and put your organization back on the map.

Spike Lee incident was stupid on both sides. Ewing wanted a head coaching position, not an assistant's slot. He had come out bashing Mark Jackson and sounding like he should have the Knicks head job because he was Ewing, not because he had displayed any incredible coaching chops at Orlando or anywhere else. And head coaching at Westchester was beneath him.
Again, if you're Oakley, acting like a drunken moron and getting arrested on felony charges, the love Dolan gives to others that are less deserving matters little. It certainly doesn't mean you come out crapping on people like Spree and Ewing.

As far as Spike, in my view, that was all on Dolan. First, there is no way anyone told Spike Lee he had to leave MSG unless Dolan told them to say that. As I understand it, Dolan was mad that Spike was not singing praises to Dolan for the crap on the court and this was Dolan’s way for payback. Second, if the whole thing was that Spike was not supposed to enter that way, then why was he let in at all. The person that processed his ticket should have rejected it and not let him in at all, but once he was in, you don’t tell him to go back outside. That is just nonsense. The whole thing smells like a setup by Dolan, and I would have been pissed too if I were Spike.

Oh I don’t mind. In terms of just that.... I haven’t been to a NY sports team game in years besides one Rangers preseason game a couple of years ago. Tickets are way too expensive and the Knicks are currently not worth throwing that money away. Besides, I pay attention to the place on TV. They play music and noise on the loudspeaker for almost the entire duration of the game. I think they started doing that to drown out the fire Dolan chants. It’s actually kind of intolerable. The music and noise is good sometimes but every second sucks. That alone will keep me from going.
So on a selfish POV I am good.

Jerking Spike off, yeah that does smell like an "I'm the owner, you just own seats" payback.

I just wonder what the reactions would be if Dolan had just been sitting quietly in a luxury suite for any game he attended, and Oakley was just clowning off and getting carted out by security.
