I'm not.. you couldn't have fucking gotten a third round pick from either miami or lac? Thomas can play but i feel like they wasted value

It doesn't look like it. What other posters mentioned is a start but I think it goes beyond that.
Thomas is a guarantee at LT, the other top OT's were not quite. If we moved back to get a third, I suggest you look at how our last 3rd round selections went. Just not even close to being worth it.
Look at Crush's Tweet. Those arms...

personally,I think they messed it up. Unless the Chargers were going to take their guy first no matter what

I am sure they tried, but Miami and the chargers got their QBs without moving up. The only other team that maybe we could have gotten some picks are the Panthers or the jaguars but those guys got their QBs already.

I feel way better about everything after the draft finished. There were 6 OTs and 6 CBs taken even guys with low grades because there isn't really a supply of talent. So there are guys available with first round grades. I was surprised to see McKinney, Epensa, and Tee Higgins available still. If we ended up with the LT who showed up to play in a lot of big games and a player that was worth a first in the second round, yeah, it's hard to be upset over not getting a 3rd

Would have liked to have picked Gross-Matos with our 2nd pick but getting Xavier McKinney, the best safety, is pretty awesome. BPA and a team need.
CrushAlot @ 4/25/2020 12:10 AM
Peart's NFL comparison is Nate Solder.

I am almost sure we picked Xavier over Gross-Matos (who we all pretty much liked) for a few reasons.
1 - Xavier was an area of need, thought to be a top 15-25 pick (1st round).
2 - More importantly, Xavier can play all over the field. He is VERY flexible. In a way, he is like Simmons, but more physical.

I think Peart is a GREAT pick. He probably see's lots of action later on in the season as he needs to add some weight. But the guy is a huge beast with excellent technique.

Absolutely love Andrew Thomas. Barkley and Jones are drooling right now. I wonder if we pick up a center tonight? Edge rusher and a tall WR or two.
I used to be way more of a defensive mindset guy. Seeing the NFL now, you can win with a mediocre defense and great offense. And by all accounts, with Jones and Barkley, we have a chance. Build around them.
We used FA to really help our defense.

Think we have enough Corner backs now? Nice position to have a lot of depth in today's NFL though.
Wonder if we make a trade to get a center before our next pick at 150.

We have a lot of CBs? Our CB play last year was horrible. Slot receivers killed us. This is a good pick. We still need a Center. Biadasz and Harris are falling. Hopefully, we can get one of them in the 5th

I really like this pick. Bookend tackles for the next decade

He's won my heart.

Shane Lemiux has gotten reps at center. not saying it will work but the giants at least partially addressed it

That was also my favorite pick of the draft. I don't expect him to start next year but he certainly looks and sounds like a guy who will start for a ~decade, especially learning from Colombo

I was only joking. We did need a slot CB and the later round pick (best in the draft at that position) will probably start imo. And we absolutely had to pick up Xavier, absolute steal.
I was more getting at all the CB's we picked. I'm good with what they did.

And regarding our horrible play, they are awfully young guys. We had what's his name (Baker?) coming back from injury as a rookie and then our late first round pick. And we have Love, etc.
So, we are going to be stacked in time. Just really interesting with all the CB's and LB's.

Looking forward to the physicality that Judge is CLEARLY already bringing.

Patriots had good draft
They follow their own mantra
Trade out of rd 1 abd stock up on reds 2-3
They reloaded with the positions they win from. Linebacker abd tight end
Early 5 they get an accurate kicker with a huge leg.
Then done gritty intangible players.
The big athletic play making te presents a big quick target. Of course they had Brady but any pro who can find a big target like that.Number 1 defense lose a couple of players to fa? Reload with same size speed production. They’re masters

Yeah. They have a formula that they have been following for a long time. They don't look for athletes. They look for football players.

I think the Giants are building through the draft the right way. They went and got their core the last 2 drafts getting their RB1 and QB1. 2018 they got a generational RB and got some big guys for the OL and DL. The lone mishit was Lauletta. 2019 was a really good draft. Got their QB1 for the next decade and drafted good rotational players. They got 5 starters from that draft and the rest are rotational players.

This draft got me giddy. We got our HUGE TWIN TOWER OTs for the next decade. Got a playmaking Safety in the 2nd round that is graded by everyone as a first rounder. Round 4-7. Drafting all those LBs was a definite need. They also got some really good WRs in UDFA field. They got the starting WRs from Ohio State!

Yup. I love me some blue koolaide!

Two things I got from the Jets. They should be be better at 3-1 abd if they need to punt out of trouble. They can.

The FA guy we got from Canada, WR Rysen John, is 6' 7"! And he ain't slow. He ran a 4.6 40, but for a tall guy, that sounds pretty quick. Guys that tall in the end zone can be a nightmare.

The Giants signed gigantic 6-foot-7 wide receiver Rysen John to an undrafted free agent contract.

John is from Canada and played collegiately at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. he, apparently, led Great Northwest Athletic Conference in receptions per game (5.3), and receiving yards per game (86.1) while catching 10 touchdown passes in 10 games.

The Giants didn’t draft any wide receivers, but clearly made the position a priority in free agency. John, if nothing else, should be an intriguing player to watch in training camp for his unique size at the position.

The CB Darnay Holmes drafted in the 4th round. Graducated from UCLA within 2.5 yrs.

Both NY teams focused on the OLine -- good moves for young quarterbacks.
