I really like him too. He’s better than Knox right

It's too bad that the stigma with first round drafted players going into the G-League is there and the dev league is not more formalized. Or perhaps better formalized.

And by stigma, it goes both ways: Players may not want to go down that should and teams may not want to send players down that need to mature.

RJ is an obvious young kid that didn't need G-Leauge. Frank, Kevin, Iggy all probably needed at least a year. Mitch? Maybe?

Wonder if the NBA could adapt a policy if that a first round player spends X amount of games designated in the G-League, he would get an extra year guaranteed on contract or something. Win for player, win for team.

Think Iggy got some decent qualities for sure and would have liked to see him get more burn this season. However long term I see him as a rotation piece at best. Think his lack of athleticism and poor defensive qualities will really hurt his opportunities. Can see him included in a future trade package tbh.

Some teams utilize it better than others...Tim Hardaway was a 1st round pick and when he was traded to the Hawks, they sent him to the G league and he came back a new player. So much so, Mills outbid himself to get him back.

Spencer Dinwiddie and Kendrick Nunn (neither were 1st round picks) really benefited from playing in the G League by getting mins and confidence. Both had break out seasons recently in the NBA. I wish we would have utilized it because Knox and especially Frank during his 1st 2 years could have used it for nothing more than a confidence boost.

He's has much better court awareness than Knox does and he plays with a much better pace.

The only knock on Iggy's game that stood out on offense was his tendency to look flat footed times, glued to the court. Has to work on doing a better job moving without the ball.

I love the guy but do agree regarding his D. Hopefully he can bulk up some and retain what quickness he has to be a better "body" on the defensive end.
He is an offensive juggernaut though, (albeit at a slower speed.) But he gets his shot off. Very crafty player and VERY confident. (Just like RJ.)

I didn’t like the Knox pick but I have to admit I thought we had something special after watching SL. It’s been all down hill from there for Knox. He seems like a player stuck between positions. Knox is the better athlete but I think Iggy might be the better pure basketball player. I’m not of the opinion that yiu need to be a superstar athlete to be a great nba player. Not saying in anyway iggy will be great but I like him as a very solid team player. A guy who has size skill and bravado. I think he’s mentally more there than Knox. If iggy can improve his 3 point % and he looks like he has really good form to do so— he can be a player in this league imho. I’m not going to stop rooting for Knox either — my hope is Knox simplifies his game and plays better with a better pg. I think knoxs best position might be 4
