I keep redoing scenarios and the one thing that keeps coming up—3-4 guys who u think are going higher skip to 27. We won’t k ow who u til the draft

The Knicks have to be the most prepared they’ve been in years

Lastly I don’t think it’s devastating we dropped to 8. Would’ve rTher had leverage and more choices but it’s ok

I think we will be more prepared than we have been in years, think that’s why we hired some of the people we did- they have obsessive work ethics. Here’s hoping we hit on these draft picks, we sure need it

It’s fine that we dropped to 8. The consensus is that after 3 is a crapshoot. Also I can’t imagine a world that Cole drops to 27. Hes no doubt being considered in the second half of the lottery and his poor year at UNC can be easily explained. Maybe we can package 27 and 38 to get up into the late teens if he drops that far but that’s a stretch too.

This is gonna be the craziest draft of our lifetime so far.
What u think may not happen can or will.

Yeah it’s true. Just so many variables.

If we take a swing man or frontcourt player, then yes you take him 100% agree with the poster above that said we can package the 27 and 38 pick for Cole to get him in the early 20s

If he drops, I pick him. Heck, I still have him under consideration for the 8th pick. Not sure he's worth trading up for. We can find useful players with those picks. Also, if next year is as good as they say, than it makes the shoot our wad next draft.

I would take him at 27 for sure. I think this is the kind of draft that will have a lot of silent promises from wealthy teams and a lot of movement on draft pick sales for cash. I agree it will be a weird draft and guys will need to have a lot of cheat sheets with these draft picks and others available. I can see a lot of folks draft and stash foreign players to avoid payroll considerations for now - dropping a number of US players below their projected draft slots.

I think it’s highly unlikely that Cole drops that far, but should that scenario arise and we selected other positions, yes I would take him. At 27 he’s a bargain. Under Thibs I see him as drose 2.0
