Yeah, Devin Booker is who I would chase if he is really on the table. Now for him, I would be willing to give up some first round picks but they would have to have at least top-3 protection.

I’d offer the two firsts we got for KP. But then again I wanted Phil to trade KP straight up for Booker 3 years ago

For Booker, you cough up #8, Barrett, Iggy, and a late, future Mavs pick

RJ and Mitch are absolutely off limits unless we are getting back a legit superstar in his early to mid 20’s prime like Giannis

Disagree here. Booker is a quality player. He won't come cheap. And, quite frankly, he's worth it, IMO.

We do have the Kentucky connections. It's not out of the question that Booker might warm up to the idea of coming here. The roster construction would probably scare him off.

Hahn's latest FB update is rather sobering.

We are sticking with our current roster and draft picks unless something amazing is offered.

No big name FA signing, maybe some players around the roster fringes.

Holding tight until March(?) trading deadline.

Also, majority of games may be interdivisional. Meaning, Knicks at bottom of heap.

I have no problem with that. I want to see what Thibs can do with the kids.

Yep. Their thinking must be build up the kids, we're screwed interdivisionally anyway.. roll with it until some team is in bad need of financially bailing out of a good contract.

I would be f@#king relieved.

This way of thinking/building is what I've been calling for, for a while. I hope this is true. Not concerned much about wins and losses as I am about properly developing these young players and re-evaluating them at seasons end. Also, like the idea and being open to possible trade deadline deals that may yield a good player or picks similar to Morris. Would like at least one more shot at the lottery as next years draft is not only deeper, but much better at the top. Cunningham and Green look to be legit franchise Changers...

BigDaddyG @ 11/7/2020 7:00 PM
I'm trying to get excited... but this guy isn't really going to make get over the shining star we had in Mo' Harkless hahaha We'll see I guess. I've always rooted for MKG. Wouldn't mind if he had a breakout season with the Knicks and secured a deal elsewhere.

No way. If Phoenix wants draft picks fine but I’m not giving them RJ or Mitch as part of a package

Knicks were 17-27 last year when they got rid of Fizzledale who absolutely sucked. If Miller had been the coach the entire year the Knicks would have been 9th in the eastern conference. Let’s see what thibs does

GustavBahler @ 11/9/2020 4:53 PM
Take on bad contracts for a star? If its long term bad, there is no point. Unless its just about filling seats again.

Trading Mitch will bite this team in the Butt, and that aint' no scuttle!

Would love to swap 27 for 21 but sounds like the Knicks may be getting a 2nd round pick along with Scott who is an expiring. Not a bad deal as Philly owns 34 and 36. There may be some good prospects available at that spot: Quickley, Isaiah Joe (Shooter), Bane, Paul Reed, Elijah Hughes, etc

I need to wait until I hear this from an established source. If this is true, we should demand this year's pick be attached....but I'll settle for a second.

I'm getting flashbacks of when Morey violated us for a first round in the Hill/Jefferies trade. Now that the circumstances have shifted, I hope Leon is able to return the favor. It's unlikely, but it would be nice.

Any 2nd rounders we get, we couldnt move right away. But it would free up other picks to be moved. We're in pretty good shape as far as picks. Even a surplus. Maybe Rose is thinking of trading up.
