He had surgery Oct 9th. I’m sure he‘ll tweet just how great and even better he’ll be when he returns.
KP is a Yao Ming type potential. The talent is not questioned, its just if he can stay on the court healthy. My guess is he’ll be slow to return and be held back as a precaution. Just a guess.

KP is like Yao if Yao was an insecure narcissist soft POS

Kemba was the invisible man in the playoffs, but he seems to have some sort of knee issue, that he battled all last season and flared up again in the playoffs despite the long rest.

Dodged that bullett

Can't see the Pelicans making that move. They mind as well keep Jrue. I thought one of the main goals of a Holiday trade was to get their current roster better aligned in terms of age.

Listened to a Celts podcast last night. They were speculating Haywood to Indy, Oli to NO, Jrue to Celts.

Makes sense. What beams of Kemba then? Not cool to sign and guy then jettison him a year later unless its mutual.

Well Oladipo sounds like he's not going anywhere.

But Kemba or Haywood would have to get moved and they speculated Haywood (some kind of Indy connection) would be the guy to go if they were going after Jrue.

As an aside, Kemba relatively recently said something to the effect that he had seriously thought about signing with the Knicks. And in mentioning this, its just something I remember him saying and thinking that not all FA are just using the Knicks for leverage - some actually are open to the challenge.

As a second aside, Ainge is ruthless when it comes to trades.

Think Boston would move Smart to bench and just start Kemba/Jrue. Jrue has already been paired with Lonzo Ball for a year and I think can play off the ball some. Lots of teams running out multiple PGs, OKC, Houston but the players have to make it work

If the Lakers are just giving up their 28th pick and Green, I would have considered maybe our 27th and cap space for Schroeder. Or better yet CP3 plus Shroeder for Cap relief, Randle, DSJ, our 27th (if OKC is just getting expiring for CP3 from other teams). Would have sorted out our backcourt woes, plus given us time to see if Schroeder is legit (plus he plays better with CP3 than as the sole PG).

Anyways, nice pick up for the Lakers if his 3pt shooting wasn't a fluke
