I know you're thinking 'He can't be worse than Noel.' But honestly...I think he is that much worse than Noel.

Lmao not even. I’d prefer Noel over him, but with our bigs getting banged up and lack of spacing I might give him a look.

Taj, that's what Taj was already signed for

Chandler @ 1/19/2021 10:01 PM
Nerlens has hands of stone on offense; can't catch anything

but he is a real asset on D

fishmike @ 1/20/2021 10:39 AM
Jazz are 10-4 and last lost to the Knicks

I don't like this at all Good thing ScoopB is as suspect as heck.

jrodmc @ 1/20/2021 6:32 PM
Mavs on 3 game losing streak and Luka pissed at coach after Zinger airball at the end. (Okay, maybe it hit the side of the backboard)...

Yeah Scoop B has zero cred. His 3pt shooting has took a nasty nasty dip and his TS is now sub 50 .

TPercy @ 1/20/2021 7:33 PM

Knicks getting some love on ESPN is nice. I actually think that we will likely be one of the teams that don't make it, but I'm very okay with that. I know that we will likely be in no mans land once again, but I think we need to accept the fact that establishing a healthy winning culture is pivotal for our teams success and the league would screw us out of a top 5 pick anyway even if we tried.

Ugh. Are we trying to monopolize pigs who can’t shoot?

Most of the teams on this list make no sense.

I have nothing against him personally but he’s emblematic of the NBA draft insanity. More than ever shooting is at a premium and year after year there are lottery guys who can’t shoot a lick

phuck Lonzo ball... he's not even better than Elf. Elf is a good defender and has some nights where he scores pretty well.

GS is playing really well and I suspect we get smoked tonight

Detroit is on a fast track to be the worst team which is nice as we have their 2nd rounder. Thats looking like pick 31-32 which is pretty solid

Yup. I don't think we need Lonzo.

Draft capital baby!

There seem to be two ways to have a very good to great team -- the "super friends" route in which you mortgage your draft capital and cap space (plus) for the now (Lakers the most successful currently, Nets the recent aspirants) or the slow build through the draft with a few smart trades and FA signings (Celtics, Raptors, Heat). At this point I really feel we should stick with the slow build -- all these draft picks could very possibly hold players far superior to short term fixes. I'm not saying don't make moves -- just don't be stupid.

I’ve heard very little about Zion this season- what’s going on with him? Box scores look okay, but he seems to get no hype lately

I think he's playing well, putting up good numbers anyway. Though Karl Malone was busting on him for being out of shape. Hey, he's on the Luka regimen!

More like Malone was on the LeBron "anti-aging" protocol at the very beginning. That said, I have very little patience for Malone and his pious rants. Something living and glass houses and throwing stones, or something like that.

Shawn Marion shares my thoughts on why is kinda overrated. His thoughts also carry over into the Harden era Rockets failures in the post-season.

While he’s registered to vote on Long Island, he supported GOP candidates Nicole Malliotakis of Staten Island and upstate’s Elise Stefanik in their successful runs for Congress last year.

He’s also already given maximum contributions, totaling $12,200, to three Democrats in the crowded New York City mayoral race: banker Ray McGuire, former federal housing official Shaun Donovan and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

Not in the Yang Gang
Likely not high on Dolan’s list of Democratic mayoral hopefuls: former presidential candidate Andrew Yang.

Records show Dolan’s committee registered Jan. 15. The day prior, Yang launched his campaign with a website that included a pledge to end tax breaks for the Garden.

“If nothing is done, MSG’s total tax break could be $1 billion by 2030,” Yang’s site reads. “I would support existing legislation in the state capital that finally ends this 38-year long property exemption.”

A spokesperson for Dolan’s committee noted that the paperwork for The Coalition to Restore New York was submitted before Yang’s announcement.

I live in Bay Ridge which Malliotakis represents. She beat one termer incumbent Max Rose a Knicks fan who trashed Dolan and implored him to sell the team.

I remember that. I didn't agree with Rose on a lot of things, but he was spot with his Dolan takes.
