I for one don’t consider a Net win a knick loss. We have our own path and for now Nets if they can land that trade would have a challenge of filling in the rest of the roster as Harden would cost a bit. could they start:Jordan

As we have learned one not have a top caliber 5 to win a chip.
Only issue I have is Nets would grab a lot of late bandwagon fans who would gravitate to them and perhaps a generation of youth. Knicks 47 years since a chip. ONly have themselves to blame for their woes. Nets winning or not does not change what we put on the court but it panics Dolan. That worries me.

I don't get it for the Rockets- even we could beat that package with RJ, Mitch, Frank plus every 1st we have plus the Mavs (I wouldn't do that), but sure lots of other teams could top the Nets offer- like this one:

Rule of thumb: Best trade is when you end up with the best player. If Harden wants out and there is a market you test it. I doubt Rockets can get back fair value via the “rule” I just mentioned but Jaylen Brown is a hell of a young player and the rest is not a bad haul.
Woj puts no validity to any pending or close deal to Nets/Rockets.
If all Leon did was low ball teams for CP3 and Westbrook I’m ok with that.

IT whey they call them “rumors” and when they add legitimacy they become “reports” until its “reported as a deal”.
Dinwiddle and LaVert are excellent players and a good base to build a trade on.
We don’t have any established players like that to use as a trade. RJ has just scratched the surface and our yoot are still question marks.
Westbrook to Charlotte likley has Nick Batum Contract in it but its reported no the 3 pick. All things written is Charlotte takes wiseman. WestBrook can entertain the fans while they rebuild below the surface.

Honestly the Westbrook to the Rockets trade is one of the worst trades in living memory- it doesn’t get anywhere near the flack it deserves- it was atrocious, I don’t even understand why the Rockets thought they had to give up picks to take on a worse player and contract, and so many of them.

Because Paul had a great season is one look back.
WestBrook did not.
Paul got Paleo Vegan and dialed it back on the clock. Dude had a great healthy short season.
Westbrook got Covid and was not the same back in the playoffs.
I’m happy if we stay out of both of them actually.
