Looked like a fun game. Two teams playing ball and chasing their own tails.
Pelicans are kind of weirdly constructed. Zion does not fly anymore. He is the juggernaut. Kid is 20 but looks very different than his duke days. Zion can’t defend the parimeter. Who guards Kawahi? Lebron? Ingram?
Adams and Zion are monsters but limited.
KP will have games like this and to be fair he is still finding his legs and shaking the rust.

Yeah that Zion Adams partnership is very suspect. Zion is a torrid defender this year and neither of them space the floor. Still, feel like with all the talent on that roster they'd be far ahead of us but I'd take us over them any day.
Celtics are in trouble. Ainge refusing to essentially get Miles Turner for free looks increasingly stupid
I’m sure the stats geeks only invented this ‘luck’ stat this season and only use it when discussing the Knicks defensive performance😂
Blazers/Mavs good game most former Knicks playing well. Especially Melo and Kanter.

Mavs definitely getting it together. May have to lower hopes on their pick being lottery, but still see it as valuable.

Agree, can always package draft picks to move up.
Jones jr. wow. All over the court.

Had a nice block on KP. KP needs to stop playing like an awkward PF and bust them up inside.
Melo is the thinner and more spry than Ive seen him in a long while.
Looks like another L for Dallas.
Mavs lose but obviously are not on the skids anymore. Still a long way to go of course. But I will still be pleased every time they lose.

Luka has been pretty insane lately. Not sure he can keep this level of play up. If he does, they're in the playoffs.

this is what makes this a good loss for the Knicks. Mavs still lose and they are playing well AND got 44 from Luka. Neither of those teams plays much D. Man I really want to get lucky in the draft and its not gonna be our pick. Need Dallas to lose lose lose

Their only 2 back in the loss column to Sac-town and GS. Not sure if any of us believe in Sac-town, but hopefully GS can hold up their end of the bargain. Memphis is the wild card...

If that’s true then yeah they really messed up. This is about the Hayward deal right?

Yep, even if they didn't want him long term, they have a better shot of moving Miles Turner for something useful later than they do with just a trade exemption.
If I opposed Knicks to sign Kyrie was not based on his odd personality but more that small guards who rely heavy on the ability of insane athletic quickness and speed past the age of 30. That charlotte passed on keeping Kemba walker at first glance seemed like a typical Jordanesque owner blunder but his injury now about a year old and that he has not recovered is a major concern for small guards. When Issiah Thomas (the short one) had his hip injury it was essentially a career killer. When the Great Allen Iverson was unable to keep his twitch up he lost a lot of his advantages. The list is long thru the history of the NBA.
I admire DRose a bit more in this version as he has developed a good court sense and improved his shooting to compliment what is left if some good athletic ability but has reconciled that he cannot just rely on it as he once has. In my opinion Dennis smith jr once he filled out a bit ran into a headwind that keeps him from developing. I think if he had found success at this level and secured his contract he might have been able to move to the next level. Thats speculative. He did not get to it and thus has been struggling. Sad for him and us because I think he got close to finding that groove.
Other musings.......Lin is schooling the Gleguae. Iggy Bratz been having some good moments. I watched Jared Jack close out a game at age 37 for the Ignites team with a wonderful grace. Small window to how big the discrepancy is from the Gleague to the NBA.
NCAA division one also wider. This is why the Draft is so hard. A CJ McCallum from freaking Lehigh carves out an epic career which took a few years to develop.
its why patience is needed and why its so hard for players and teams to get it right. Fans take so much for granted when applying hindsight.
