Read ESPN's ratings of the league, team by team. They call out Melo on his ability to hit the big shots for Portland and still label him a liability. Some things never change.
Ah well, maybe Steven A gets his wish and we get Dame in some kind of trade, and they throw Melo in for free!

Mavs/Clippers halftime. Mavs up by 5. Good game. The better the Mavs play the more inclined I am to believe the FO will trade the pick. Maybe top 5 protected or something like that. Guess we'll know soon enough.

I’m not saying Meyers (Its plural) is ante-Semitic because I don’t know him. But its obvious he is ignorant.
Long time ago I had to do an employee review for one of my younger assistants. Kid was smart, handsome, and personable. We gave him a good opportunity. Problem was he let it known that when he was not consistent with his meds he was mistake prone. Ok, year one, we do this yer one and not fire him but tell him he has to take care of this. We good. Mistakes were less but still happening, but now he calling the complex director “George Catanza”, from Seinfeld when reference to him. I take him aside mentioned that its not a good idea. Few weeks later Directer visiting and I give everyone a heads up. Its an opportunity for everyone to clean their desks a bit more, perhaps put on their best tie, women know its not a causal day, etc. No big deal and no big suck up moment, just courtesy to not be stupid. Jason Alexander aka, “George Castnza” was playing a character called “pretzel boy” which employee is now using in reference. This dumbass says: Hey, Bill XXXXX here yet? He is Pretzel boy right???. My director hears this and gives me a look. I shake my head and tell him “in his file we have had a convo about stereotyping fellow employees”. We dont’ have to say another word. Its my repsponsability. Next review comes up and his performance review can go either way. A bit better but uneven. Can go either way. When you like a guy and he tries, you give benefit of the doubt and work with them. I bring in someone from Human Resources to sit in and we discuss that he is on the fence. Then I inform him he is being let go. He asked why? I told him he lost all the benefits of the doubt and his comment was heard by the offended party. Tough lesson to learn. I wanted instead whip out a bag of pretzels as a prop but glad I didn’t He fell back in his chair and his head spun. He was mad, but also mad at himself. I broke the silence and said: I know your angry and want to lash out. Take a breath and understand what you do right now might dictate how I react to a request of reference should I be in such a position. He commented “I have some growing up to do and while this sucks, it’s understandable and just”. Last I heard he was married, doing well and is very well respected and likable.
Lets not be naive here. Likely this was not Meyers first offense. Even if so Riles has to take care of this. Leonard was on the fence and he tipped the balance.

This sucks, hope he's back for the playoffs (and the Lakers can hold on and not fall out of the playoffs picture- can't be giving any help to the Mavs!), I remember David Lee had this when he played for us and he was out a long time

No helping the Mavs in any way, but we play the Lakers soon.

Was reading the AD at DePaul came from Kentucky and thus the connection. The Loyola coach in Chicago seems to be the favorite. The alumini donors are a big piece of it besides “search”. Not to be ugly but Payne is African American and while certainly qualified might just be window dressing to make the search complete. Not uncommon. Payne is paid 1.5mm as a knick coach. Not chump change for a dude not associate head coach. If he desires a head gig and thats his path I trust Thibs can find someone to also do a good job.
