NOAH's IQ on the Bulls was through the roof, he was actually the assist leader, but i fully expect Mitch to lead the in Block shots

Noel such an underrated pickup. Now we actually still have a rim protector even when Mitch gets in foul trouble

Dotson 5-6 12pts in his first game with the Cavs. Never understood why this guy is so undervalued. He would have killed on the Lakers or Bucks. Still think at that price point it was a mistake not to lock him into a three year deal.

One preseason game tells us little. Dot has game. I thinks are thinking Knox at 22 has the upside going forward and those minutes are his. Sometimes you have to move on from some players.
WE are not doing multi year deals with 25 year olds this year. Rivers got Dots money and I think he was a good value for where we are.

“Skal’s the limit!” We can’t take all the Kentucky guys. Maybe he heading to Europe or a team that can give him minutes? Or he came t the house of Payne for a tryout and it did not work.

Bobby Portis had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Bucks last night! Never should have let him go. And then there's Carmelo....

Yep, we were so close to a championship with each one.

Stupid example.

Dotson has done nothing but shoot a high percentage from 3 and defend since he’s been here, 36% with no point guard or center.

The fucking guy makes $2MM a year. Would have cost absolutely nothing to resign. Remember when we gave Ron Baker $5MM a year and let Holiday walk, when we could have Locked him in for peanuts?

Stupid fucking move. Joe Harris got nearly 18MM a year. Happened with Seth Curry, Danny Green got over valued.

Mistake

I will never understand the love for Dotson, especially given the context of who was on the team already.

He is an average 3pt shooter, dribble isn't good enough to break down a defender and get to rim, below average defender, below average FT shooter.

He plays the same position as Barrett and now Quickley. Austin Rivers and Bullocks were signed for the same level of salary give or take.

because Dotson has as much of a chance of being a NBA caliber player as Frank N?

Is .361% from three below average?

.358% was the league average for 3pters.

He was .362 last year, .368 the year before.

Frank is .311 for his career. That is definitely below average.

We shot as a team .337%

Our top shooter we traded in Morris. He shot .439%

#2 & #3 on that list?

Anyone?

Dotson
Portis
Portis tied for third with? Trier!

I will never understand responses like this. In a topic of "Why isn't Dot on team/why wasn't he retained" doing a player comparison on ONE stat that has nothing to do with anything and also ignores everything else I've detailed on Dot makes zero sense.

And let's dispense with the ultra minutiae: the league average in 3pt shooting is just about 36%; Dot's last 2 years shooting from 3 is 37% and 36% and I said he was an average 3 point shooter. What Frank shoots has nothing to do with Dot's situation on the team.

Barrett and the drafted Quickly and retained Bullocks and upgraded shooter of Burkes probably has more to do with the Dot situation. Also, Dot probably saw those guys on the team and was like "I'm out".

Dotson is about to be 27, has had 3 years in the league, unfortunately most of them injured; the upside is razor thin. Plus all of the other things I mentioned about Dot
