Eh, I guess I'm thrilled? All the pieces, small or big, matter. What's the deal on Omari?

We got 3 2nds for Davis. With how we operate, we can do a firesale of players for picks come deadline

Building up assets for a trade
MS @ 11/22/2020 7:45 PM
Nice move!

Omari has good range, struggled with getting in shape for a most of his career in college and the pros, but he’s super young and has solid skills.

It’s nice to actually be using the cap space for something finally. We missed a big opportunity last year. Have to be happy with what we are seeing so far.

Adding assets not jettisoning them. Maintaining cap flexibility. Developing young players with good coaching and strong organization people. What the hell is going on? No wonder some Knicks fans are losing their minds.

The little things I love it

I get that and have been a long advocate, for years, to rebuild this thing from the ground up. Collecting assets, playing and developing our youths and maintaining a manageable salary cap which will allow us to not only sign free agents but absorb contract with assets attached to them. I'm all for it and am not one of those fans that want to make moves for Westbrook or Wall or the next shiny toy. Clearly, you are not familiar with my posting style!

With that said, we are collecting an ample amount of 2nd rounders and I simply posed the question. For example, maybe we can attach a few 2nd rounders and a player like DSJ and Randle to get an asset and 1st rounder. Most of these singings are moveable contracts or can be traded at some point for more assets.

BigDaddyG @ 11/22/2020 7:55 PM
Wow...now this trade is more in line with a 50 degree day. Spellman might be my new favorite Knick!

This could also mean we are going to resign taj as our back up center.

I can't be mad at taj coming back as long as mitch starts. We need veteran leadership and a guy who knows thibs system and way of coaching will be huge for mitch and obi

Noel was signed for a year at mitch's back up

I hope Spellman sticks, he can be able to stretch the floor, not sure what jacon evans brings to the table

That's right, maybe as the third string PF if Obi sticks as the 3rd string C

Sorry if it wasn't clear but I was trying to state I was on board with you. Then adding my 2 cents : )

Spellman has real skills. If he can get himself into supreme shape, he actually can be a solid stretch four. He is a good 3pt shooter.

I remember Davis yucking it up during a Knicks/Net game. Hopes he finds Minnesota winters entertaining.
