I’m very surprised we didn’t keep Oturo? Pick 33?

We got noel, thibs doesn't play rookies, he will already play 2 Young guys in Toppin and Robinson. He won't get any burn

We also have Omari Spellman who fits smoothly into a niche role. Like a fat Chris Copeland with better rebounding.

The way the deal was re-structured, it wasn’t us who had the 33d pick, but Minnesota, who sent it to LA for the 2023 second round pick and the rights to a player and they passed it to us.

So it’s a moot point now.

Knicks created an opportunity but missed Carey by one pick. Briggs you might have looked at the kid from Minnesota and thought “hey not bad”. Knicks did not care.
Why settle? Obviously they punted on the pick and now have like a slew of them when they want them. More important was the opportunity to grab who they wanted. It did not pan out.
Do you go to car dealer and if they don’t have the car you want just pick out another? No, you do your research and then find the car. But if you get there and “Oh, it just sold, sorry” you don’t go “Ok, I’ll just take that one”.
Same for house. Or wife.
Drafting players.
