You also thought Frank Kaminsky was the next Larry Bird 😂
He’ll be fine. I actually have no problem with him shooting 3’s
he's a modern stretch 4... but maybe we should've traded up for Wiseman and sent him back in time 30 years
Obi looks fine. He’s just stuck behind Randle who is find his skills.
Obi will be fine. The shooting is erratic but if he makes threes and teams start to respect it the rest of his game will open up. He also looks like a skilled passer. He’s a great PF prospect. Nothing tweener about him.
Looking forward to more of your patented “one reactionary short phrase” post after every single game.
Sure
Hopefully the coaches can get to the athletic part of his game/ But he did look lost and smallish by thee rim

I wonder if you are thinking of the same play I am, where he made the move to the basic, and Evans basically swallowed him up, blocked the shot. He looked small on that play.
Isn't Paul George a tweaner? Lots of good tweaners out there.
One game, his first pro season in a messed up covid no practice, no summer league year.
I'm sure you could recommend a program for him to add - what does he need- 10 or 20 pounds of muscle?
We need quick in the game to get him involved on offense with lobs and open layup

He does look a lot smaller than I imagined he would be...Feel like he's rushing and chasing the game rather than letting the game come to him...Hes not as NBA ready as some thought. Right now. his best spot is in the dunker spot on the baseline where he can benefit from pg penetration for lobs and offensive put backs. its going to take some time for him to adjust his game...

This. I don’t mind giving him confidence to let it fly but the best of his college game was going to the basket

Which is not good for a 22 yr. old rookie, IMO.
Much of it might be that he's only played a few games against NBA bigs, but he hasn't shown us any go to moves down low- post up/pivot moves, hook shots, or use of the glass.
And yeah...he seemed small at times, with a weak base.
We will see.
Obi's was behind the 3pt line. Probably by coach's design (he's a big man, he's not calling audibles!) - it means coach has confidence in him. The shots were not falling as much as they ideally would, but the clean looks were there.
Also keep in mind that it might take time some time for him to adjust to the new range. The Knicks need to give him some pick and rolls rather than having him try to score in isolation at this point.
He’s Boris Diaw. If the run plays for him that emphasize his passing even if it’s post up passing to a shooter it will help him.
Just like Diaw he can shoot the 3 but you don’t benefit from playing him as a stretch 4 exclusively.
Lol. Thanks BRIGGS. We needed a joke after that first game.
So after 4 preseason games and 1 regular season game, we can conclusively rule:
Obi is a tweener
Wiseman is a franchise changing star
Vassell is MVP

After two years, can we also conclusively rule that Ntilikina is a bust?

After spending a day watching YouTube highlights, I can confidently conclude that Cade Cunningham is the answer!

Yep i'm skeptical they will ever get this right because they keep drafting poorly. Should of drafted a 3 and D player to plug next to Barrett. It was a bad pick. He is basically an undersized center.
