It’s a very decent team with capabilities to beat anyone
It's true, I cannot say that I am surprised but they have really taken it upon themselves to execute the game plan. I was thinking to myself against the Magic that our 7-9 point lead feels like a much larger cushion. That's because our d is really making it tough. Don't know about anyone else but I have always wanted a defensive coach. I guess that's because I became a fan under Van Gundy.
This team and coach are just what the doctor prescribed. You can see and feel the progress. We are witnessing our Knicks building a culture and it's glorious. The wins will come but it's how we are winning, frustrating the opponent ( see Dray Green getting ejected) that's what I am talking about

So do we suck (remember: "we don't have enough offense to be close to .500") or are we decent? Maybe give this thing some time before constantly posting knee jerk threads every time we have a good game or a bad loss.
There are a few instances where being bipolar can be fun!
Now where's that "WHY THE HELL DID WE HAVE TO GO 5-3??? WHY WHY WHY????" thread?

Sig worthy stuff, BRIGGS

Great post! That keen insight providing us with a unique perspective is highly appreciated.
Weird, Randle is playing at all star level. Glad we did not supplant him with Wood.
We drafted Obi who might be better than Wood also.
Sure we coulda-woulda-shoulda all day long.
But you get one window to make decisions. Not throw things on the wall and see what sticks and boast in insight.
The play last night after two nights off likely was due to them having two practices. The defense looked sharp and first period was magnificent!
Almost sorry Draymond got tossed. I would like to beat teams as full strength as possible. My sneaking suspicion is our record might be due to covid related ramifications but this is better than not winning.
OBI for the dunk contest !!!

I know, one week they look lottery bound, the next week they look Elite.
The important thing is not to get too high or too low with the win streaks and losing streaks. Burks made his presence felt yesterday and you can tell he brings a new dynamic to the team. Considering Rivers is hurt and may be struggling to find consistent rotation time for now, I think we saw the 10 man rotation yesterday that offers the best mix of scoring and defense. For all of the scoring struggles we have had, Burks seems to cure a lot of them.
C Robinson/ Noel
PF Randle/ Toppin
SF Barrett/ Knox
SG Bullock/ Burks
PG Payton/ Quickley
For now this rotation is working.

Yup. My coach of choice was JVG then Thibs. Happy we got Thibs.
we are the only team in the EAST with a winning road record, that is really impressive considering we have had the worst road winning percentage for the last 6 yrs

Therefore making long run term declarative statements after each game is probably not wise.

Disagree with this. We suck unless we add/would have added Denzel Valentine, Cam Reddish, Nesmith, Woods, Wiseman, Pritchard and _________(Everyone feel free to fill more in). And of course, only if Quicks was ready for the NBA.
Glad to see you are in a happy mood Briggs. Knicks looking good. LoL
No idea if the Knicks will be able to sustain a .500 record this year but do feel they could absolutely do it next year.... and the team just has that 2018-19 Brooklyn feel before they got Durant/Kyrie. And the Knicks will be in that same position.

BJ Mullens?
The offensive fire power took a step back. We simply don’t have the guns. I’m looking at Washington
They have Bradley Beal and Westbrook at the guards position. Not to mention the stacked rosterWe have two role players who no one else wanted.
I guess if the off season was a quest to be the worst nba team with no assertive plan — we have accomplished the goal.
I still think e should’ve gone after Woods and Nesmith— and possibly countered with Avidja when he fell. Toppin will be ok but this overall team is sht

Possibly not wise, but it does wonders for board traffic...
