Look I’ve known Frank is probably a goner and honestly he deserves a fresh start somewhere else BUT I’m afraid that Thibs is pushing hard for Rose enough for us to do something stupid and give up a Frank AND Detroit’s second rounder. Plus like how having Rose AND Payton makes zero sense and only hurts Quickley in terms of minutes

I’ve been very happy with the FO and Thibs UNTIL today. This reminds me of the Steve Francis trade. Made zero sense but the coach pushed for it. Thibs is hell bent on getting his old crew back together even though it makes no sense.

I’m not opposed to bringing him back, but Elf has been making me eat my words lately. You could imagine Thibs using both the same way. Would seem to be pulling minutes from Quick which I don’t like.

I don't understand this. What does Rose provide that improves the team? Are we trying to take minutes from Quickley? Are we trying to take shots from Barrett? We want to become a worse defensive team?

he's got another year on his rookie deal and he's easily their best player. What do we have that makes any sense? I would thing their starting price would be IQ/Obi + both 2021 FRPs

For all the hate on Payton, I think this isn’t the right move to get rid of him unless you have a good deal for him.
And trading Frank for him is really sad. Frank looked like a typical Thibs player and somehow he found himself in the doghouse. If they have to add anything else, this would be a pathetic trade.
Trading Frank for Rose would be a dumb move by a dumb FO. It will not make us better. Just more frustration and disappointment. And we Knick fans deserve it for sticking with such a mess of an organization. We are truly the worst franchise in all of professional sports.
