Oh well. The Clippers are stacked. We are not. Nice game anyway.

Yup. Clippers play very good D and we are one of the most offensively challenged teams in the league. We did very well today we were just outalented.

Quickley is superstar good. If he keeps this up he might win ROY coming off the bench
Completely agree. We can beat most teams playing this way. LA just a great team that shot lights out. Our “Big 3” of Randle, Barrett and Quickley are awesome.

Missed call on the Ibaka push off was egregious.
I think these games are best case scenario. RJ and Quickly looking like a special backcourt for the future. We just need a little more and it’s going to take a couple more lottery picks. Lot of positives this season.
Thibs needs to take guys out when games are over, he been doing it all season with Barrett and Randle. Can’t keep doing this shit.

I read this before the game and it was DEAD ON
The New York Knicks' run as a surprise team with elite defensive upside is due for a swift and unceremonious ending. Though they still rank sixth in defensive rating, much of that can be attributed to luck; New York has allowed 20.4 wide-open 3-points attempts per game, third-most in the league, but opponents are shooting an NBA-worst 31% on those shots.
Don't expect a similar result against the Los Angeles Clippers, who lead the league in 3-point percentage on all attempts (41.8%), on shots with a defender within four-to-six feet (41.8%), and on wide-open tries (43.5%). They also rank fourth in percentage of assisted threes (88.6%), which should test the Knicks' vulnerable perimeter defense.

Agreed with the bolded...Don't like Knox getting a dnp...hopefully this isn't a thing moving forward.

In a perfect world we get rewarded with some lottery luck because how hard these guys play and not tanking. We get Cade Cunningham to tie it all together
Chandler@ 1/31/2021 3:40 PM
guys really competed.
Clips are good and playing exceptionally well right now, so hopefully Knicks build off of this.
there are a lot of positives with the team right now so i don't want to be too critical but.... Elf is just too slow with the ball. He consumes a lot of time and then when he gives it up it's not like he's passing to someone in an advantaged position. Just not facilitating coupled with a lack of shooting. Hopefully he joins the improvement train, which RJ, Randle and Mitchell are enjoying (all of those guys are playing a lot better this year)
Also Austin has to cut the brain farts. Some possessions punctuated with way, way, way too much dribbling going no place, or a horrendous pass. Needs to covet the possessions more.
So lose sucked but the effort didn't

It's not looking good for Knox. Knox, even though he missed a LOT of shots as a rookie, still looked like an NBA player in the making. The Knox we've seen in recent weeks is little more than a spot up 3pt shooter - kind of looks as out of place as Bullock and Ellington did last season.
This game as a 19 year old wasn't that long ago... and he was less physically mature and in shape then too. On the other side, he used to be 2 inches taller and played like it. :p
fitzfarm@ 1/31/2021 3:53 PM
Man it was hard not to think of Leonard on our team and how good we would be.
Mitch Randle KL Barrett Quick
Dam it that team would be good
Overall effort was there, they were just lights out from 3 can’t wait for Payton to leave
GustavBahler@ 1/31/2021 4:19 PM
Good game, too much firepower for us.
RJ and Quickley have poise beyond their years.
Quickley's handle is improving.
Most knew that RJ was deceptively strong. Was still surprised to see how well he defended Leonard and George's post ups. Looked like Kawhi's kid brother out there.
Glad to see Burks and Bullock starting to get their offense back.
Thibs should have pulled the starters at the end, but overall I saw a team getting better.

Knicks succumbing to one of the very best teams in the NBA does not negate progress to this point.

I love how you overreact to one loss adults one of the best teams in the league. The team is still in the right track

Even with a loss today, you can feel it
