Not surprised....They were very undisciplined, took terrible shots and just didn't play a style of basketball that would allow them to be very successful.
Can't remember a time when a team fired their coach mid-season, and grabbed an assistant coach from another team. Seems like they were already having some type of discussions with Finch's team/agent before they fired Saunders.

Yeah I think this would have happen even if he won

If KAT is not careful, he is going to get labeled as a coach killer.

I dont think KAT is in the best shape but not to many players are really better than him at his position. He controlled the game with his rebounding in the 4th Q. Bad bad shot selection for Minnesota coupled with great defense in the last 90 seconds.

Four coaches and four different GMs/presidents since he was drafted in 2015. The Wolves have problems that go much deeper than KAT.
Hard for me to be anything but pro-KAT after all he has been through in the past year.

Agree. Nothing you can attribute the firing to something KAT did or didnt do on the court this season. Ownership knows Townes is having an awful year on a personal level. Russell is out. Im guessing its about next season. Wolves will have a high pick. Another coach, another reset.
Like KP and AD, KAT might be better served being more Robin than Batman. Russell can be a piece there, but he isnt more skilled than KAT.
The real reason we won and Saunders is unemployed.
